Why Worry? part 1

Good morning everyone!! God is good all the time all the time God is good. Why Worry? This is from the upper room, a daily devotional guide. When I was reading this I realized how this applies to us all, but I caught a different light. This will be 5 parts, so if you want the complete gest start you a "why worry" file.

From one of the authors of The Upper Room:

I've always felt drawn to the story of Jesus walking on the water, not because of the miraculous quality of the event but because of the way Peter reacted. As an expression of love for Jesus, Peter jumped over the side of the boat and began to walk across the stormy waves toward his master. How amazed Peter must have been as he felt the heaving seas become firm beneath his feet!! In those moments, he knew what it was to put his life entirely into Jesus' hands. And then he began to sink.

Peter had trusted Jesus. BUT, then Peter saw the wind. And I believe that because he allowed himself to worry about the supernatural event happening to him, the seas no longer held him up. The winds howled and tore at him.

When Peter had his eyes on Jesus, all was well, when he doubted...well. Thank you for reading today. Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
