Proverbs 13:18-19 Criticism - can you take it?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Proverbs 13:18-19 "If you ignore criticism, you will end in poverty and disgrace; if you accept correction, you will be honored. It is pleasant to
see dreams come true, but fools refuse to turn from evil to attain them."

Men may feel it beneath their dignity to bow to instruction, but lasting honor will only come to those who humble themselves and receive instructions from those who are in possession of true knowledge. Poverty and shame will be the portion of all who think themselves above such instruction.

A dream that comes true is good or bad, depending on the nature of the dream or desire. It is pleasant to achieve worthwhile goals, but not all goals are worth pursuing. When you set your heart on something, you may lose your ability to assess it objectively. With your desire blinding your judgment, you may proceed with an unwise relationship, a wasteful purchase, or a poorly conceived plan. Faithfulness is a virtue, but stubbornness is not.

Where are you today? Do you dream of good, enjoyable, and godly things? Do you accept criticism in proper perspective and evaluate it? As humans, we tend to want to be right all the time. As is said in East Texas, "it ain't gonna happen." Be open, let God be first and funnel everything through His eyes. Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace

Johnny
