Enoch told us! Jude 14-15
Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!
Jude 14-15 talks about Enoch. Who? Enoch was Methuselah's father. The following information is from the King James Bible Commentary. In Genesis 5:21-24 Enoch "walked with God." The verb stem used signifies to walk about or to live and have intimacy, fellowship with God.
Jude 14-15 "And Enoch also, the seventh from Adam, prophesied of these saying, Behold, the LORD cometh with ten thousands of his saints, to execute judgment upon all, and to convince all that are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have ungodly committed, and of all their hard speeches which ungodly sinners have spoken against him."
Enoch, during this time, was probably severely persecuted as he "walked with God" as the content of his message was very pointed and powerful in his condemnation of evil.
His experience probably involved special revelation received from God and then proclaimed. Then "he was not for God took him." God took him, Enoch, he, too, was as Elijah (2 Kings 2:3-5) and was taken directly into heaven without dying. This was a sign that reconciliation with God includes victory over death.
Wow! Do you have the faith, the courage, the devotion to go forth as Enoch and proclaim the truth? I don't, but I pray daily God will guide me and lead me to be strong. May our prayer now be we walk with God as did Enoch. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
