Can you take discipline and learn? Proverbs 12:1

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good.TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!
    Did you stop, listen, and commune with God yesterday?  Once again this morning I hear my fingers tapping on the key board - BUT - the sounds outside are so free, so enjoyable, so refreshing.  God wants us to listen, but also God wishes us to gain wisdom and knowledge and to follow him.
   Look at Proverbs 12:1 KJV "WHOSO LOVETH INSTRUCTION LOVETH KNOWLEDGE: BUT HE THAT HATETH REPROOF IS BRUTISH."
   If you read this in other versions (click on Proverbs link) you will see the translation- love discipline  and love knowledge but it is stupid to hate correction.
   If you don't want to learn, years of schooling will teach you very little.  But if you want to be taught, there is no end to what you can learn. 
   This includes being willing to accept discipline and correction and to learn from the wisdom of others.  A person who refuses constructive criticism has a problem with pride.  Such a person is unlikely to learn very much and I might add will not be a good follower of God.  Look at Proverbs 12:2 and ponder on this a moment - "A good man obtaineth favour of the LORD: but a wicked devices will he condemn."
   Take discipline and learn my friend.  Do not fall because of pride.  Love you all.
