Christ-centered ? Of the body? 1 John 2:19
Good morning all! Good is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!
Yesterday I talked about a storm is a comin', meaning the anti-Christ's will become more and more and we need to be aware of them and what their goal is. Many rise up in the church as "good members" and disagree with the pastor or someone in a leadership role. They try to "water-down" the good news God has sent us and tell us something like, 'oh, that is not what it really means'.
1 John 2:19 {this link has 3 translations} (KJV) 19" They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us."
The against Christ members will try to take people away from the true word of God, AND, these people will not remain in the church. These anti-Christs had been in the church, but they did not really belong to it. Meaning, they were not true believers in Jesus Christ. They joined the church for reasons others than salvation; maybe social status, family tradition, business contacts, maybe just a habit, or what ever else may spur them on. But, they are not there to worship the only one and true God.
What is your reason for being a Christian? Is your reason Christ-centered? If not, then you do not belong to the body of God! If your reason is Christ-centered - then you are in the body of God, and should enjoy the fellowship of other Christians. Meet and greet your brothers and sisters in Christ with words of encouragement and excitement. Jesus is the answer, for the world today! (lines from Bill and Gloria Gather). Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
