Do you want to be RICH?

Good morning all!!! yes, Jesus is good, uh, no, GREAT!! We have a tendency to be like the little donkey on Winnie the Pooh. Oh, it oookkkay I will be allll riggghht. I am just doing what I have to doooo! Oh..kay, don't worry about me. (now you have to say that slow and monotone)
Hey, we need to lift our heads up as we are children of the King. We can become the richest man or woman in the world!! How!!???? I Corinthians 16:2 "On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with his income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made."
When we watch t.v., look at a magazine, just looking around we see that our life will be RICH and much BETTER if we: have a new luxury car or sports car; digital t.v.; better clothes; fine athletic equipment; and on and on. This will make us HAPPY, we will be RICH, life will be GREAT!! But is it????
Satan comes in beautiful forms to take us away from our GOD, and lure us away from our BIBLE STUDY and being close to the LORD!! All the listed above things will go away, they will rust, GOD'S LOVE IS REAL AND HERE TO STAY!!! Jesus taught HIS followers to travel light, taking with them only what they would need for their journey. Jesus reminded them to concentrate on God's divine love, which provides a richness unmatched by any worldly possession. Materialism is excess baggage that in the end only serves to make our trip burdensome.
If you want to be rich then: "Honor the Lord with your possessions, and with the firstfruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine." Proverbs 3:9-10
"The love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows." I Timothy 6:10
