Why do you grumble? Where is your heart?

Well, good morning! Another wonderful day to be alive in Jesus!! God is good all the time, all the time God is good! Sometimes we tend to complain about things we need not complain about. As a child growing up in Eastern Colorado I saw a sign in a cafe that said, "I complained about having no shoes, until I met a man who had no feet." So what do we have to grumble about?

James 5:9-10 "For examples of petience in suffering, dear brothers and sisters, look at the prophets who spoke in the name of the LORD. We give great honor to those who endure under suffering. For instance, you know about Job, a man of great endurance. You can see how the LORD was kind to him at the end, for the LORD is full of tenderness and mercy."

We may grumble and complain about things, but we really have an easy go of it. Many prophets suffered and were persecuted, such as Moses, Elijah, and Jeremiah. Or just think about Job. We live where we can freely worship, speak God's name, talk about Jesus, mention the Holy Spirit. Some places you cannot.

The old testament there was Isaac, David, Priests of Nob, Micaiah, Elisha, Hanani, Zechariah, Uriah, and the famous 3-Shadrach, Meshach, Abednego, among others.

Then in the new testament we have John the Baptist, Jesus, Peter and John, Stephen, James, Peter, Paul, Timothy and John.

What was the difference? The old testament, basically told the truth as revealed by God and if the king or queen did not like the news, then - be gone. One example, Jezebel did not like to have her evil ways pointed out so many prophets were killed. 1 Kings 18:3,4

In the new testament it all began with John the Baptist telling about Jesus. Then along came a man named Jesus who exposed all the sinful motives, specially the religious leaders. Kill him! They did, BUT HE ROSE FROM THE DEAD TO SHOW HIS AUTHORITY OVER SIN. The others mentioned were either killed or placed in prison.

Is your conviction strong enough you can stand up for Jesus? If you had to take the mark of the beast right now, today, or die - what would your choice be? Stand up for Jesus - eternal life? OR, take the mark for eternal damnation? Tough choice - where is your heart? Is your heart in God's hands? Let go - let God!

Thank you for reading today. Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace

Johnny
