Are you really committed? Or just committed talk?

Good morning everyone!! Another great day to be alive in the LORD JESUS CHRIST!!! God is good all the time, all the time God is good! Ash Wednesday has come, Ash Wednesday has gone. Are your committments to God the same way, you committed on Wednesday, and now your committment is gone?

Daniel 1:8 KJV "But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat nor with the wine which he drank; therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself."

New Liveing Version "But Daniel was determined not to defile himself by eating the food and wine given to them by the king. He asked the chief of staff for permission not to eat these unacceptable foods."

Now, remember, Daniel was living in a culture that did not honor God, yet Daniel still obeyed God's laws.

Daniel was determined to be devoted to principle and to be committed to a course of action. When Daniel made up his mind not to defile himself, he was being true to a lifelong determination to do what was right and not to give in to the pressures around him.

We, too, are often assaulted by pressures to compromise our standards and live more like the world around us. Merely wanting or preferring God's will and way is not enough to stand against the onslaught of temptation.

Like Daniel, we must resolve to obey God. Where are you in obeying God? Are you prayerful about all of God's work you do? Tithe? Talents? Service? Time? Where do you stand right now, today, this very moment? Let go, Let God!! Thank you for reading with me today. Love you all.
