Write it down - Journaling - a wonderful gift

Good morning everyone!! Another great day to praise God! God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

Exodus 13:3 "Moses said unto the people, Remember this day, in which ye came out from Egypt, out of the house of bondage; for by strength of hand the LORD brought you out from this place."

Marcia Conston started keeping a journal a few years ago. She had tried before, but this time was finally successful and she realized that keeping a journal is not a task for completion but a wonderful opportunity for self-expression, reflection, and release.

Job knew the value of writing. He expresses sorrow and laments that his words have not been written down: "Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were printed in a book!" Job 19:23

Keeping a journal has been a life-changing experience for Marcia. She took time to record important events in her life and even the dull occurrences of her day. She was able to express her deepest feelings and concerns and to link her life to verses of scripture about God's grace and mercy, which offer deliverance.

When she reflects back over her journals, she recalls with great fondness many of the joys of her life. When she reads about the sorrows and pain, this, too, is a reminder of the mighty works of our LORD and Savior and God's divine love for her. Remembering God's grace and acts of deliverance strengthens her faith. It can do this for you as well.

Writing is a wonderful gift we can give ourselves. It is personal, can be kept confidentially, and does help take some burdens away from us. Later, we can reflect back and see God's hand in all our life movements. Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
