Revelation 3:15 -Hot, Cold, or Lukewarm

Good morning all! Yes, yes, God is good all the time, all the time God is good!! Wow! We have another opportunity to wake up, praise God, and go forth as a bold and confident disciple of God, of Jesus, walking with and in the Holy Spirit.

Going to step on toes today. Get ready. Whew!

Revelation 3:15 "I know your works, that your are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot."

What?!?! History first: Laodicea was the wealthiest of the seven cities, known for its banking industry, manufacture of wool, and a medical school that produced eye ointment. But the city had always had a problem with its water supply. At one time an aqueduct was built to bring water to the city from hot springs. But by the time the water reached the city, it was neither hot nor refreshingly cool-only lukewarm.

The church had become as bland as the tepid water that came into the city. How is your spiritual life? Are you hot Sunday morning when in Sunday School, in Church, and then by the time you get into your car; drive home or to the cafe, or to the gas station for a "coke" are you lukewarm.

When was the last time you freely did something for someone who is/was struggling?

When was the last time you invited someone to church?

When was the last time you really prayed, sincerely, and talked to God?

Have you asked for a renewed spirit so you can carry the word forward?

What are we, you and me, waiting for? An invitation. We need to get off our pompous areas and carry God's message forward. I challenge you to mention God, or Jesus, or your church, or offer to pray for someone at least twice a day. Once in the a.m. and once in the p.m. Thank you for reading. May this have struck you as hard as it did me. Thank you Man in the Mirror Men's conference for opening my eyes. Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
