And then came a great fall! Not Humpety-Dumptey but Nineveh Nahum 2:8-10

Good morning all!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!
Where is God when you need Him?   He is right where He always is; it is YOU that MOVED!  Food for thought.
I stated last time that 1/2 mile of Nineveh's wall collapsed of which I was in error; A stadia being 400 meters and losing 20 means 5 miles of the fortified wall collapsed due to the Tigris River overflowing.
Nahum 2: But Nineveh is of old like a pool of water: yet they shall flee away. Stand, stand, shall they cry; but none shall look back.
Nineveh is now overcome by water and it becomes a pool.  All the worthies, aka people or citizens can only think of escaping.  They run, they scatter, they are getting out of there.  The leaders of Nineveh urge the people to stay and fight, but nope, all they want to do is get to safety.  Each citizen now is only concerned for their own welfare.
If you look at all Nineveh has gone through, the changes, from repenting with Jonah and being a God fearing city to a totally pagan city with evil and the turning away from God and you compare that to the U.S.A. and where we began to where we are today ---do you see a parallel?  If God is as patient with America as He was with Nineveh we have this century to get right or fall.
Nahum 2: Take ye the spoil of silver, take the spoil of gold: for there is none end of the store and glory out of all the pleasant furniture.
Nahum, in his vision, is now talking to the captures.  Take it all, take everything, leave nothing behind. There is plenty for all, an abundance of treasures.
Nahum 2:10 She is empty, and void, and waste: and the heart melteth, and the knees smite together, and much pain is in all loins, and the faces of them all gather blackness.
When the invading armies has finished their work; gorged themselves on Nineveh's treasure, the city will be left empty of treasure, being completely destroyed.  The people, the citizens are stunned and in grief; standing in shock over what has happened as they thought they were invincible.
Arrogance, pride, treasures of the land, leniency in worship and serving pagan gods -- does this ring a familiar gong to you, my fellow Christian?  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
  Johnny
