Here comes the judge, and He is armed! Nahum 2: 2-4

Good morning my friend!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!
Nahum 2:2" For the Lord hath turned away the excellency of Jacob, as the excellency of Israel: for the emptiers have emptied them out, and marred their vine branches."
Assyria took Israel captive and ravaged Judah.  Now, the LORD, our GOD, is not happy and about to get its just reward to the Assyrians for what they have done.  In Genesis12:3 God gave a promise that He would bless Israel and curse them that curseth Israel.  Look out Assyria, Nineveh, Big Daddy is mad and coming your way.

The shield of his mighty men is made red, the valiant men are in scarlet: the chariots shall be with flaming torches in the day of his preparation, and the fir trees shall be terribly shaken."

Let me put this in today's language:  the men (soldiers) are armed and ready, the tanks are fueled and full of ammo, and the shields against the enemies weapons are in place.

The chariots shall rage in the streets, they shall justle one against another in the broad ways: they shall seem like torches, they shall run like the lightnings.

This verse shows the ease with which they invade the city. Moving quickly about, so fast with their torches, they look like lightening to the prophet.  They move so fast and freely that they run into one another during this quest.
Can you say, "If Daddy ain't happy, ain't nobody going to be happy!"  (like mama ain't happy).  When God has finally become angry the tide will turn, things will happen, and consequences will be dealt out justly.  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
    Johnny
