God ain't happy Nineveh, ya better watch out! Nahum 3:1-7

Good morning all!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!
Okay, where are we now?  Jonah went to Nineveh preaching repent; they did; they were spared; now Nahum is telling his vision; destruction; Nineveh repents not; Tigris overflows; the 60 mile wall and palace collapse; Medo-Babylonians take possession-killing, robbing, and destroying.  Read the note at the bottom. Today may be a little lengthy, but trying to finish Nahum this week.
Woe to the bloody city! it is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departeth not; The citizens of Nineveh preyed upon one another and upon other nations; grabbing, grasping, never returning, unkept promises, alliances betrayed. This city was marked by greed and violence as a way of life.
The noise of a whip, and the noise of the rattling of the wheels, and of the pransing horses, and of the jumping chariots.
The horseman lifteth up both the bright sword and the glittering spear: and there is a multitude of slain, and a great number of carcases; and there is none end of their corpses; they stumble upon their corpses:
It is interesting here that what is described here is the way they would conquer, and now this is the way they are conquered.  Whips, chariots, horses, swords, spears, and many are slain. So many they fall over the dead.  Nineveh was estimated at 600,000 people with many many slain.  Can you even imagine?!

Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the wellfavoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts.
The reason all this fell on Nineveh is because of her moral defects in not only sexual perversion, but in the worship of the occult.  With the nations Nineveh conquered her immoral practices, sexual deviation, and occult worship became the norm.   What comes next is soul shattering.
Behold, I am against thee, saith the Lord of hosts; and I will discover thy skirts upon thy face, and I will shew the nations thy nakedness, and the kingdoms thy shame.          This first line - "I am against thee" says who?  the LORD of hosts, God.  Guess who ain't happy at this time? Yep, they have POed God!! OOPS!!  The last part, skirts upon thy face, nakedness, shame -- meaning Nineveh will be humiliated such as keeping in accordance with her defection from God.  Everything about her will be known to the world, nothing kept secret.
And I will cast abominable filth upon thee, and make thee vile, and will set thee as a gazingstock.   Nineveh will be treated as an object of contempt and disgrace.
And it shall come to pass, that all they that look upon thee shall flee from thee, and say, Nineveh is laid waste: who will bemoan her? whence shall I seek comforters for thee?       As a result of God's judgment on Nineveh, all who look upon her will flee so they will not be part of the judgment.  No one will mourn the fall of Nineveh, come to comfort her, or console her.  Why? Nineveh was not friendly, but cruel to all; showing no mercy when they were in need--therefore, she will receive nothing in her hour of need.  Wow!!
Okay, this is the note at the bottom.  After studying Jonah and Nahum, read the book by Jonathan Cahn -- Harbinger!  The place where Nineveh was (Iraq) and after 9/11 we sent troops to fight terrorist (which is what Nineveh was) they set up camp near two mounds of earth, in Iraq(old Nineveh) on the location where Nineveh once stood.  Interesting?  Read the book. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
