Are you in a Tornado??
Good morning everyone!!! What a great day to be alive in the Lord Jesus Christ!!! WOWEEEEE!!!! God is good all the time, all the time God is good! I cannot sing enough praises to God. Life is like a tornado!!! Have you ever thought about that?? We tread along going through this trial, that trial, battling off debris, and are so busy fighting for our life we forget our goal. What is the goal?? We need to be in the 'eye' of the storm!! Why? Because in the eye of the tornado it is calm, peaceful. The problem lies going into and out of the eye when we hit the turmoil.
Where do we sit in our life with God? Psalm 50:3 "Our God approaches and he is not silent. Fire devours everything in his way, and a great storm rages around him." This is referring to God's final judgment.
Psalm 55:8 "How quickly I would escape-far from this wild storm of hatred." Even those who are especially close to God, like David, have moments when they want to escape from their problems and pressures.
Psalm 197:29 "He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves." God can do it all. He can keep us in the calm. He will protect us and care for us.
Luke 8:24-25 "The disciples went and woke him up, shouting, 'Master, Master, we're going to drown!'' When Jesus woke up, he rebuked the wind and the raging waves. The storm stopped and all was calm! (25) Then he asked them, "Where is your faith?.....""
So, I ask you, where are you living? At the edge, where the storm is? Or are you in the eye of the storm. Yes, moving into the eye we will fight the rage of the storm, coming out of the eye we will fight the rages of the storm. Even while in the eye we will stray close to the storm. However, each time we touch the rages of the storm and flee back to the eye we are reminded of the reassurance and safety of our Lord Jesus Christ.
My life has been in a tornado. Too many years were spent at the edge fighting off high winds, flying trees, flying automobiles, flying houses. When Jesus came into my life, uh, no.....when I asked Jesus to come into my life.....Life is good!!! We have to remember though, to always give credit to our Lord. Moses struck the rock and said here I give you water. He was angry and frustrated at the children of Israel, but because he took credit he did not get to go into the promised land.
God has given me ALL I HAVE!! Praise God for He is Good...Great....Wonderful....Fabulous!!!! God has put me exactly where he wants me and my job is to be obedient and give HIM the praise and glory. Thank you Father God!! Thank you for reading. Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
