Who is Jesus Christ?

Good morning everyone!! All right! God is good all the time, all the time God is good! Was God first in all you did yesterday? Hey, let's look a little deeper and gain more insight about Jesus. Philippians 2:5-11

5 Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God
7 but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.
9 Therefore God also has higly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth,
11 and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is LORD, to the glory of God the Father.

Okay, here are some questions to ponder, print this out for later if need be.

1) What do you learn here about Jesus' identity? How is this identity affirmed in Revelation 1?
2) What does Philippians 2 say about Christ's past humiliation and its relationship to His present and future exaltation?
3) Read Matthew 24:29-30 and 25:31. What do these passages add to your understanding of the second coming of Christ?
4) Read John 11:25 and 14:6. What do these verses say about Christ being "He who lives" (Rev. 1:18)?

Truth for Today! Jesus came the first time in humiliation; He will return in exaltation. He came the first time to die; He will return to judge His enemies. He came the first time to serve; He will return to be served. He came the first time as the suffering servant; He will return as the conquering king. The challenge the book of Revelation makes to every person is to be ready for His return.

Thank you for reading with me today. Love you all. Tomorrow we will do reflections and personal responses prior to going on to chapter 2.

In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
