So...You can hide, God knows where you are! What now?
Good Morning everyone!! I hope this is a great day in the Lord. Down here in the Texas area people are struggling with the flu bug. If you would take time to pray for the health of your family, friends, neighbors, and even enemies.
Yesterday Jonah was struggling with going to Nineveh, AND he tried to hide from God. Bad choice. oh, yes,....Jonah spent 3 days in the belly of the fish. Then the fish spit him out....whew....he stunk don't you know!?! So.....he went to Nineveh and guess what??? Yes, when Jonah followed God's purpose and preached at Nineveh the people repented and turned to God. We must be willing to walk into the enemies camp, full empowered by our Lord and Saviour, and proclaim God's love in words and actions to the whole world.
God wants us to be HIS missionaries, where ever we are. Jonah was angry after preaching because Nineveh repented and were saved. We cannot be as Jonah and let our worldly thoughts and feelings take over. We must walk with God. God cares deeply for us as well as for people we resent and hate. God WILL accomplish HIS purposes, even through reluctant and unwilling servants. God is patient with sinners and patient with HIS servants.
Today, kneel down.....pray for God's guidance!! Stand up...go forth into your mission field. Speak openly for God....tell someone about Jesus and about how God has blessed you!!! I'll go first....God opened up a new position for me in sales, I was not looking for the job, but it came. My administration at school were gracious in releasing me from my contract, and the only one I can give credit to is GOD!! GOD IS LARGE AND IN CHARGE!! (as our Bible teacher says). Thank you for reading. Love you all!!
In Chirst's Love and Grace
Johnny
