Put your DAVID ON!!!!

Good morning everyone!!! What a great day to be alive in the Lord Jesus Christ. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Are you faithful in the little things. When called upon, can you put your David on????
Put your DAVID on....what do you mean?? Take time to read I Samuel 17. David did what he was supposed to do.....tend the sheep. His brothers were in Saul's army. You know the story.....Goliath and the Philistines camped on one mountain, the Israelites camped on the other mountain, with a valley in between. So, this big guy comes out, challenges the Israelitesand defied God. What is DAVID doing???? Tending the sheep.
David is taking care of the tasks at hand, no matter how trite they may seem, he did what he was called to do. Then his father sent him to the army camp with supplies for his brothers. This is when David heard the big guy called Goliath. David took care of the little things, but when he heard this big guy challenge the Israelites he did not tremble..........BUT WHY??
David knew the living God, is and was on their side. Now David did not hesitate, talked to Saul, took five smooth stones. Remember, David has been faithful in all he was entrusted, tending sheep, supplies to his brothers, and David is a small, ruddy faced youth. Why would he think he could confront a giant of a man like this?????
Very simple, David was faithful in all the small tasks he was given, and he would be faithful in meeting this, one more task, and WHY????? Because DAVID had TOTAL FAITH IN A LIVING GOD!! Well you know the story, with only one stone. David came prepared to do the task at hand. But why 5 stones????
David was prepared, 1 stone for Goliath, and then 1 stone for each of Goliath's brothers. Goliath had 4 brothers and David was prepared. David took care of all the small details. Now I challenge you today, to go forth and PUT YOU DAVID ON!!!!! Take care of the tasks at hand, no matter how big or small, stay faithful and slay the giant in you life today.
Thank you for reading! A great example, David, in being faithful and true to OUR LIVING GOD!! Love you all. Pray for yourself and one another.
In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
