Balak or Jesus?

Good morning everyone! Yes it is. Another great day to be alive and worship Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

Yesterday we were in Revelation 2:13; talking about compromise and satan's throne. That Pergamos was the center of four idoltrous cults.

Revelation 2:14 "But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality."
We can have differences of opinions as Christians in some areas, but there is no room for heresy and moral impurity.Balak was king of Moab, and he feared the large number of Israelites traveling through his country, so he hired Balaam to pronounce a curse on them.

Balaam refused at first to do it, but an offer of money made him willing. Later Balaam influenced the Israelites to turn to idol worship. Here Christ rebuked the church for tolerating those who, like Balaam, lead people away from God.

Where are you today? what do your actions say? Are you Balak and don't realize it? Are you taking steps for Christ? My prayer for you today is that with each step, each syllable utter from your mouth would be pleasing and acceptable unto the Lord God Almighty. Thank you Jesus. Love you all.
