Is your zeal for Christ?

Good morning everyone!! Another great day to be alive in the LORD JESUS CHRIST!! God is good all the time, all the time God is good!

Revelations 2:4 "Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love." Application Bible: "But I have this complaint against you. You don't love me or each other as you did at first."

To be a Christian is to love the Lord Jesus Christ. But the Ephesians' passion and fervor for Christ had become cold, mechanical orthodoxy. Their doctrinal and moral purity, their undiminished zeal for the truth, and their disciplined service were no substitute for the love for Christ they had forsaken.

Paul, once, had commended the church at Ephesus for its love for God and others, but many of the church founders had died, and the second generation believers had lost their zeal for Christ. They were a busy church, members doing much to benefit themselves and the community,but they were acting out of the wrong motives.

Work for God must be motivated by love for God, or it would not last.
