2 Timothy 3:17 Just talk the talk?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

Yesterday in 2 Timothy 3:16 we talked about the Scriptures being the inspired word of God. Today, let us go 1 verse further and look at the 17th verse, "God uses it (scripture) to prepare and equip his people to do every good work."
We, in our zeal for the truth of Scripture, must not forget its purpose - to equip us to do good. We should study God's word so that we will know how to do Christ's work in the world, not just increase our knowledge or help us win arguments.

Our knowledge of God's Word is not useful unless it strengthens our faith and leads us to do good. Satan probably knows the Bible better than we do, however, he tries to use it to tear down; he is not strengthening his faith and doing good.

Which world are you walking in? The one to increase knowledge and help you win arguments or the one to strengthen your faith which leads you to do good? The choice is yours. Walk the walk AND talk the talk; OR just talk the talk? Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace

Johnny
