2 Timothy 4:9-10 Do you love worldly things or heavenly things?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good.

2 Timothy 4:9-10 "Timothy, please come as soon as you can. Demas has deserted me because he loves the things of this life and has gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus has gone to Dalmatia."

Paul was alone and probably lonely. No one came to speak on his defense at his trial, but perhaps, what bothered him the most was that Demas left the faith.

These are people who lived in Jesus' time, seeing all that has happened, yet Demas left the faith because he loved the "things of this life." God loves the earth, as He made it, free of sin. When we love the earth, leave the faith, we want life as it is....sin, evil and all.

Demas loved worldly values and worldly pleasures. Where do you stand? Right now, today? Do you love what the world has to offer-wealth, power, pleasure-even if gaining it means hurting people and neglecting the work God has given you to do? Love you all.
