2 Timothy 4:3 Itching ears?

God is good all the time, all the time God is good!

Good morning everyone! Preach the word - that is what we talked about yesterday. Did you have an opportunity to share the gospel with anyone yesterday? So, look around you today, look at what some men of the pulpit are sharing. Is it really the gospel? Or is it pleasing to the ears?

2 Timothy 4:3 "For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear."

The time will come - I firmly believe it is here now. What time? When people have 'itching ears.' Itching ears? KJ version "......but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;"

Preachers who do not preach the Bible. Preachers, pastors who bow to the wishes of ungodly congregations who only want to hear what pleases them. The "good and happy news," the news that "makes you feel good." The Bible is not about making you feel good, it is about doing God's will, following his word, therein lies the happiness.

There are preachers who fill the pulpit who: don't believe there is a hell; homosexuality is okay; don't believe the Bible needs to be followed; believe the Bible is a pick and use word; don't believe in the resurrection; and on and on. Ideas that walk hand in hand with the world. Where do you stand? On the Rock, JESUS CHRIST? Or on sinking sand? The decision is yours. Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace

Johnny
