Jesus would say to me at the judgment seat.................Hebrews 5:8-9
Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!
If you read today's paper you may find historic events that happened on this day in 19??? or 20????. They are interesting to read and you will find good things and bad things. Example: today was the day in 1927 that Babe Ruth hit his 60th home run setting a record that would stand for years. James Dean was killed in a 2 car crash in 1955 and James Meredith was the first black admitted to University of Mississippi, on his fourth try, in 1962. Many other events happened on this day as well as these.
But what if Jesus returned today and suddenly you were at the judgment seat and asked the question, "why should you be admitted to enter heaven." What would your answer be?
Would your answer be that you were a good person, never cheated people, helped people, worked in the church, and gave generously of your time and resources? And if so, what would Jesus say? "Come on in good and faithful servant" OR "I never knew you?"
8 Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered;
9 And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him;
The eternal salvation we are offered means the elimination of a verdict on our sin. Judgment is set aside and we are awarded membership in God's family through Jesus Christ. This is a change in our destiny, a spark of hope and we have overcome death through Jesus Christ.
Salvation changes us from hell-bound to heaven-bound and we are to enter a life of discipleship for Jesus Christ. Salvation is the reason you can smile in the morning and rest in the evening. God loves you and you belong to him.
Now, once again, my question to you: "what would Jesus say to you at the judgment seat if he returned today?" Have you, do you, or will you share the word of your salvation; bringing others to Christ? Do others see Jesus Christ in you? Which "S" world are you in: secular or spiritual?
What is your story? If you have time, or even read this and want to share you story with me please do so. Love you all, as you are Jesus' good and faithful servant.
