You have the greatest gift of all!!!!

Good morning all!  God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!!
Work!  Work! Work!  All our lives we are taught if you want something you have to work for it.  So, the ones of us who have drive start working to acquire what we "want", not necessarily what we need, but WHAT WE WANT!
Then along comes our birthday or Christmas and we are excited!  Why?  Because we will be given "GIFTS" to enjoy.  Yes, gifts.  Presents!  Free items! Yea!  Then we either remember what we received and appreciate the gift, OR, we travel on forgetting what we received, continue in our work routine and don't look back.  Hmmm!  Think about this for a moment.
Now, relate this to your Christian life.  Do you "expect" a gift and don't really appreciate it as you should?  Or.........
Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast.”
So, we are taught to work, work, work to get what you want.  BUT, we do receive gifts and graciously accept them with no strings attached.  Well -  why is it with salvation we want to work for it when the Bible clearly says it is a "GIFT OF GOD, NOT OF WORKS"?
When accepting Jesus as our Lord and Saviour we want to work for it. No, No, No!
Romans 10:9-10 “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.”
Just believe, confess with the mouth, and the gift is yours.  Hmmm!  Could this be one reason many people have trouble with salvation?  Why is salvation so easy?  Second Corinthians 5:21 “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.”
God saw us as stubborn, wicked, evil, THEN He sent Jesus, we repented, and through Jesus we became righteous to God as is Jesus.
Salvation is a gift:  Acts 16:30b-31 “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”
So simple, yet so difficult for some to accept.  Do you doubt your salvation?  Why?  It is a gift from God!  Rejoice and let others see Jesus in you!!!!  Love you all.
    In Christ's Love and Grace
