Why pray? Does prayer work? Mark 11:22-26

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.
TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Why pray? God just doesn't seem to answer my prayers! God, if you have heard my prayer why has nothing changed? You probably have heard things like this or said them yourself. Let's look at something Jesus said.

Mark 11:22-26 KJV " So Jesus answered and said the them, 'Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, Be removed and be cast into the sea and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. And whenever you stand praying if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses.'"

The kind of prayer that moves mountains is prayer for the fruitfulness of God's Kingdom. It would seem impossible to move a mountain into the sea, so Jesus used that illustration to show that God can do the impossible.

God will answer your prayers but some conditions must be met: 1-you must be a believer; 2-you must not hold a grudge against another person; 3-you must not pray with selfish motives; 4-your request must be for the good of God's kingdom.

To pray effectively, you need faith in God, not faith in the object of your request. If you focus only on your request, you will be left with nothing if your request if refused.

Jesus prayed, not my will but thine, we need to remember this when we pray. Forgiving others, whew, sometimes really a tough feat. To pray with a grudge is as a tree which bares no fruit.

Remember this: True faith changes the heart; real prayer dismantles pride and vengeance, filling the holes with love. REAL FAITH SEEKS PEACE. For the church (the body of Christ) to grow there must be harmony and forgiveness among us (the believers). Love you all. Have a great weekend. See you Monday. Hebrews 4:16

In Christ's Love and Grace
