Butterfly - Are you one?

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

In our wonderful world, have you ever thought of your life as the life cycle of a butterfly? Think of a butterfly, they start out as fertilized egg and develop into a beautiful butterfly. However, it is important they complete each of their cycles, from the egg, to the caterpillar, to the pupa.

It is in stage two, caterpillar stage, that the wings begin to develop. Then, being allowed to fully develop a beautiful butterfly evolves. This is what we as Christians are to do. We start as eggs, i.e. infants in the Bible, we study, learn, and grow (caterpillar stage) preparing our wings, then we reach the butterfly stage, where we are to spread our wings and share the gospel, as the butterfly shares the pollen and nectar.

The butterfly goes forth into the world as we as Christians should do. Interestingly enough, however, if the caterpillar stage does not fully develop neither does the butterfly. A young boy saw a butterfly developing and wanted to help it get free. He carefully took the butterfly, freed it from the cocoon to set it "free." The problem was, it was not fully developed and its wings did not mature, therefore the butterfly was grounded and destined to certain death.

How often do we try to skip a stage and do not fully develop? My life as a butterfly should be to accept Jesus Christ as my LORD and saviour, then GROW in the WORD, and finally spread my nectar and pollen with all the world; the good news about salvation. Do I? Do you? We need to spread the good news of Jesus Christ, and grow in the faith.

As Jesus simply says to Matthew in Matthew 9:9 ".......Follow me and be my disciple....." Can you or are you willing to do this? Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
