FEAR - Psalm 34

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

What is fear? A definition is fear is related to the specific behaviors of escape and avoidance, whereas anxiety is the result of threats which are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable.
Worth noting is that fear almost always relates to future events, such as worsening of a situation, or continuation of a situation that is unacceptable. Fear could also be an instant reaction to something presently happening.

We fear or worry about things that have not happened, but that we anticipate may happen. We tend to forget the blessings that God promises. Look at Psalm 34:4 "I prayed to the LORD, and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears."

God promises great blessings to His people, but many of these blessings require active participation. God will set us free from our fears.

34:7 God will guard and defend us;
34:8 God will show us goodness;
34:9 God will supply our needs;
34:15 God will listen when we call to Him;
34:22 God will redeem us;
but we must do our part!

How do we do our part? We must trust Him, cry out to Him, take refuge in Him, fear Him, refrain from lying, turn from evil, do good and search for peace, are heart broken and serve Him.

Take time to read Psalm 34, God pays attention to those who call on him. God always hears and acts on behalf of those who love Him. Do you love God? How do you know? Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace
Johnny
