1 Corinthians 3:11-15 Is this your foundation?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Who are you? What is your purpose in life? How significant are you - really? Do you - Are you - Can you make a difference for Christ?

These thoughts permeated my mind this morning as I was spending time with God. Who am I, really?? What possible difference can I, do I make?

When the final judgment comes will my name be in the Book of Life? When standing at the Bema seat what will my rewards be? What is the bema seat? The concept of the Bema Seat comes from the ancient Olympics, where a judge would sit on the Bema Seat at the finish line. The judge's purpose was to determine what position the runners came in-first, second, and so on-and then to give out the appropriate rewards. That is the imagery behind what is known as the Bema Seat.

1 Corinthians 3:11-15 "for no one can lay any foundation other than the one we already have - Jesus Christ. Anyone who builds on that foundation may use a variety of materials-gold, silver, jewels, wood, hay, or straw. But on the judgment day, fire will reveal what kind of work each builder has done. The fire will show if a person's work has any value. If the work survives, that builder will receive a reward. But if the work is burned up, the builder will suffer great loss. The builder will be saved, but like someone barely escaping through a wall of flames."

What does all this mean? How significant are you? Do you reach out, touch peoples lives in the name of Jesus Christ? The work you do, is it like the three little pigs, of which 2 built inferior houses, but the one who labored was protected and able to protect the other 2.

If your work for Christ can be destroyed by fire, you are still saved, but have not done all you can for the Kingdom of God. We will be rewarded for our faithful work. The unfaithful or inferior work will be discounted. All of us together are the unified temple of God. Take time, daily, to see what God wants you to do; follow His guidance; then reap the rewards of being a faithful follower of Christ.

We should not work for our rewards, but for the kingdom of God. The work we do should be significant and help others see the truth, the way and the light. JESUS CHRIST! Love you all.

In Christ's Love and Grace
