Self focused or God focused? Judges 15:18-20

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good.  TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!!
We left when Samson killed 1,000 Philistines with a jawbone and now he was thristy.
Judges 15:18 Because he was very thirsty, he cried out to the Lord, “You have given your servant this great victory. Must I now die of thirst and fall into the hands of the uncircumcised?” 19 Then God opened up the hollow place in Lehi, and water came out of it. When Samson drank, his strength returned and he revived.  So the spring was called En Hakkore, and it is still there in Lehi.
20 Samson led Israel for twenty years in the days of the Philistines.
Samson was physically and emotionally exhausted.  After a great personal victory, his attitude declined quickly into self pity.  "Must I die of thirst?"  Emotionally, we are most vulnerable after a great effort or when faced with real physical needs.
Sometimes depression follows great achievements, so when you experience this type of feeling do not be surprised.
We may tend to think that God owes us something--oops--wrong! God was the one with you in your quest and gave you the strength to persevere.  Samson was thinking about himself.  We must remember to keep focused on God, where our strength really comes from.  So, today think about this-- are you self focused or God focused?  Love you all.
In Christ's Love and Grace
