My reflection is of.......? 1 Corinthians 4:16

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

It is quite interesting how God deals with each one of us. All we have to do is be still and listen. I woke this morning thinking of the reflection of Jesus and the words "Sir, we would see Jesus."

People will say, "oh, that is ole Burl's son, he looks just like him," or you can spot someone who is humble. In the same way you see people who are cocky, mad, happy, frustrated, a bully, or any of the emotions. You can tell a lot about a person by the way they walk. The way a person walks indicates things like if they can run fast, good jumpers, slow runners, or even lazy.

We reflect what we are. You may look like your mom or dad, or even a grandparent and even possibly a distance relative. My life reflects a lot and by going back into my past you can see, well, we won't go there, but it was not always a pretty picture. My point here is what do you reflect? Do you reflect Jesus Christ?

People wanted to be around Him, hear Him, see Him, or just touch the hem of his garment. Christ was, is, the visible image of God, we are made in the image of God, do people see Christ in you? Do they see God in you?

Yesterday Paul urged the Corinthians to imitate him as he imitated Christ. 1 Corinthians 4:16 "So I urge you to imitate me." Paul was able to make this statement because he walked close to God, spent time in God's Word and in prayer, and was aware of God's presence in his life at all times. God was Paul's example and he imitated God, should not we do the say.

Can we say, "Sir, we would see Jesus {in you}"

Are you Christian or religious? 1 Corinthians 11:2

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

What is happening in your world today? Are you thanking Jesus for all that happens? Things of great joy and items of despair? Well, from yesterday did you imitate Paul as he imitated Christ? What was your day like? Why did Paul say imitate me? Paul was not being arrogant, he did not think of himself as sinless. At this point in time the Corinthians believers did not know much about the life and ministry of Christ. The Gospels were yet to be written and the only example they had was Paul. Paul knew how to imitate Jesus, Paul could walk the walk and talk the talk.

We encounter many "Corinthians" in our daily walk. These people may be as the Corinthians and going through the empty motions of being "religious" but do not have Jesus in their hearts. So??? What are you going to do? The best way to direct these people in the right direction is through a Christian whom they trust and can see Jesus in them. That Christian may be YOU! Are you able to say, as Paul did in 1 Corinthians 11:2 I am so glad that you always keep me in your thoughts, and that you are following the teachings I passed on to you."

If asked are you Christ-like, would your answer be guilty?!? If not, what do you plan to do about it? If so, what do you plan to do about it? Teach, share the word, it is the truth and truth never changes. Let your interpretations be true and guided by the Spirit. When standing before the Bema seat may your rewards be many. Love you all. "SIR, WE WOULD SEE JESUS!"

Do you imitate Paul? Christ? 1 Corinthians 10:31-33

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

WOW! Where do we begin? There is so much we need to do, to be, all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31,32 "Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God. Don't give offense to Jews or Gentiles or the church of God."
If you are a guest and someone offers you food or drink that you don't like, to be polite one should eat or drink it, showing an appreciation of their efforts, AND let the spirit of God show forth in you. This is especially true if visiting a foreign country where their eat and drink of custom are quite different from ours. But I don't like it! Well, sorry, but this is not all about you, but about Christ showing through you. This is about Jesus.
Our actions must be motivated by God's love so that all we do will be for his glory. Keep this as a guiding principle by asking, is this action glorifying God? or How can I honor God through this action?
Paul's criterion for all his actions was not what he liked best but what was best for those around him. How would we hurt others? By being insensitive and doing what we want, no matter who is hurt by it; or being oversensitive and doing nothing for fear that someone may be displeased. Or maybe just being a "yes" person and going along with everything, trying to gain approval from people rather than from God. We live in our era of "me first" or "look out for numbero uno, me."
1 Corinthians 10:33 Paul said, "I, too, try to please everyone in everything I do. I don't just do what is best for me; I do what is best for others so that many may be saved. And you should imitate me, just a I imitate Christ."
Father, I want to bring people closer to You by my actions and attitudes. Help me reflect Your glory. SIR, WE WOULD SEE JESUS. Be special - do at least 1 thing for Christ today.

The fruit you bear is?????? Hebrews 13:15

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

SIR, WE WOULD SEE JESUS.

Hebrews 13:15 "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name."

When you go through a garden you notice that tomatoe plants produce tomatoes; pepper plants produce peppers; squash plants produce squash; Each plant is identified by its fruit.
Are you identified by your fruit? Do your lips confess God's name? Do your actions display the fruit of God? Each word is the fruit of our lips; each action the fruit of your spirit. The seed of what you say or what you do begins with your thoughts.
Do you consider your praise and acts of service your sacrifices, ones you can offer anywhere, anytime? A sacrifice of praise today would include thanking Christ for his sacrifice on the cross and telling others about it.
A.R.K. Acts of Random Kindness and sharing are pleasing to God, even when they go unnoticed by others. Today, in your life, "WE WOULD SEE JESUS." Love you all.

John 12:21 "Sir, we would see Jesus."

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

John 12:20-21 "And their were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: the same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, SIR, WE WOULD SEE JESUS."

Our pastor preached on this yesterday and what powerful words, "SIR, WE WOULD SEE JESUS." Is this not strong? It certainly touched me.

As the documentaries and resources say, these men were Greek, possibly recent converts to Christianity, but what did they want to do? They wanted to be in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ. They wanted to see Jesus. Why? Why at this big feast would you want to see Jesus?

Obviously, there was something about this man named Jesus. Do you see something special about the man named Jesus? Is your life changed like the disciples lives from knowing Jesus? The disciples lived, walked and talked with Jesus daily. Do you?

They watched, observed carefully all that Jesus did and when he was crucified the disciples expected HIS return in their lifetime. They had an urgency about their message! To tell others about Jesus! Do you feel this urgency? Or, are you a one day, Sunday only Christian. Again, this really impacted me, "SIR, WE WOULD SEE JESUS." Can you, do you say this daily in your life? Do you wish to see Jesus? Food for thought. Thank you Pastor Jeff. Love you all.

Who is your pilot? Psalm 16:11

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Sometimes adventures, unscheduled, unplanned, just spontaneous trips can be fun. But all the time? Usually, as humans we like to know where we are going. If we were an unknown territory, neither of us knew, and I said come on, follow me I will get us out of here. Would you really trust me?

When ships come into different bay areas, Houston, San Francisico, Los Angeles, and so forth, they have to have a "pilot" board their ship and he now takes control of the vessel. I am not taking small pleasure boats, I am talking tankers and cargo vessels. Why does the pilot board and take control? Good question.

The pilot does board and take control because he knows the river frontwards, backwards and inside out. This helps to avoid the mishaps of running aground, wrecking or sinking. So, do you have a pilot on board in your life?

Psalm 16:11 "Thou wilt shew me the path of life; in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore."

So, why do you sometimes try to navigate you life without a pilot, aka God? There are hidden dangers and forks in you life that God can guide you pass. God not only knows your river inside out, but HE knows the future and the outcome of each possible fork in your river of life. God knows what is to come. Won't you just stop and let HIM be your pilot? Love you all.

All works for the good of.......Romans 8:28

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Yesterday I talked about Nahum 1:7-9 about God being a strong refuse for those who are close to Him, but His enemies will be swept away. Think about this: God would judge the city of Nineveh for its idolatry, arrogance, and oppression. Although Assyria was the leading military power in the world, God would completely destroy this "invincible" nation. God allows no person or power to usurp or scoff at his authority. Does this smell of America? Of the world?

God rules over all the earth, even over those who don't acknowledge Him. God is all powerful and no one can change His plans.
Are your thoughts oriented toward God. When something good happens do you thank Him? When something happens to your displeasure - do you thank God? Everything, EVERYTHING is under God's rule. Be Thankful!! Thank God for His Son's blood for you, for your family, for your job, for your joys, for your troubles.......THANK GOD FOR EVERYTHING!!
Romans 8:28 "And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."
Wow. WOw. WOW! Think about this. You are not just a free unidentified object existing on earth, breathing air and taking up space. God works in EVERYTHING - not just isolated incidents - but everything for OUR GOOD! This does not mean everything that happens is good or will make us happy, but it is there to FULFILL HIS PURPOSE.
But why would God let evil come into my life, my little world? Well, are you 100% obedient, always praising and worshiping God, following his ways, or do you sometimes trek off into the wilderness blazing your own path? Oh, okay, uh-huh, I see.
When you have been called by God, you will love God, you have accepted Christ as your saviour, and the Holy Spirit is with you, then you will have a new perspective, a new mind set. Then, you will trust in GOD, not in worldly treasures; your security will be in heaven, not on earth.
My friend, dear Christian friend, let not your faith waver in pain and persecution but stay strong because you know God is with you. Psalm 119:97 "Oh, how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day." Quit letting God be your co-pilot, give Him the controls and let Him be the pilot of your life. Love you all.

Is American another Nineveh? Nahum 1:7-9

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Do you ever feel like the voice crying out in the wilderness and no one hears? Or have you ever felt very strong about situations but not sure how to approach or go forth? Kirk Cameron was in the news, not for his movie but for speaking out against homosexuality. Other stars are bashing him, one homosexual male star and then Roseann. Roseann? The lady who sang the national anthem at a baseball game, then spit and grabbed herself, and we are supposed to take her serious. Really? Go Kirk, continue to stand up for God and his word.
Does this not make you think about Nineveh? They had many gods before them. Oh, look folks, America has many gods before us and this is all in the name of "freedom of religion." Are we as bad as Nineveh? God only knows. But I do know that it is my job and your job to go forth and spread the GOOD NEWS OF JESUS CHRIST!!!!
Nahum 1:7-9 "The LORD is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes. He is close to those who trust in him. But he will sweep away his enemies in an overwhelming flood. He will pursue his foes into the darness of night. Why are you scheming against the LORD? He will destroy you with one blow; he won't need to strike twice!"

No person on earth can safely defy God, the Almighty, the Creator of all the universe. God, who controls the sun, the galaxies, and the vast stretches beyond, also controls the rise and fall of nations. We WERE one nation UNDER GOD when we were formed over 200 years ago. Now we are one nation with many Gods. Does this not resemble what the Israelites did so many times? Fall to Baal?
To people who refuse to believe, God's punishment is like an angry fire. To those who love him, his mercy is a refuge, supplying all their needs without diminishing his supply. But, to God's enemies he is an overwhelming flood that will sweep them away. The relationship we have with God is up to us. What kind of relationship will you or have you choose? Love you all.
O LORD, our prayer is that you lead us, help us to be strong in the face of diversity, and stand up for you, our one and only living God. Let us hate not the sinner, but the sin, and embrace the sinner to come to you. Thank you Father God for it is in your son Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

How should I clothe my self? John 3:18-21

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Yesterday the text was John 3:18-21 - Did you read it? In verse 18 people often try to protect themselves from their fears by putting their faith in something they do or have such as good deeds, skill, intelligence, money or possessions. The only one who can truly protect us is God! And what does he protect us from? Eternal damnation - eternity in hell....can you imagine being tormented for eternity?

We believe in God by recognizing the insufficiency of our own efforts to find salvation and by asking Him to do his work in us. The unbelievers are those who reject or ignore God completely, not those of us who have moments of doubt.

Yesterday I mentioned the dark side or the evil side. Many people do not want their lives to be exposes to God's light because they are afraid of what will be revealed. Lord knows I don't want you to know my history, BUT, I do want the change, the change Jesus has made in my life.
I know that all I did in my past is covered by the blood of Jesus. All my sins are taken away, the dark side or evil side of my life is white as the driven snow because of JESUS.
When talking about the dark or evil side yesterday and the issues we deal with on television, the movies, everyday life, keep praying, your heart must be clothed with mercy, kindness, humbleness, patience, forgiveness and love. Our bodies should be clothed with the armour of God, the breast plate, shield, carry it all.
Yesterday, in a 30 minute segment of a show I was watching sexual remarks and references to body parts was made no less than 10 times. Folks that is an "evil" or "dirty" word or phrase spoken every 2 minutes when you time out the commercials. Is this truly okay? If you are concerned about the degeneration of this generation please go to: http://www.parentstv.org/PTC/networks/main.asp
You will need to copy and paste. Love you all.

Darkness or light? John 3:18-21

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Everyone knows John 3:16,17 that God sent His son to save us, not to judge but to save the world. Well, let us delve into verses 18-21.

Yesterday, Sunday, after church my wife and I went to a movie. All the feature previews forthcoming were dark and had a touch of doomsday or evil in them. I mentioned this to my wife and she agreed. The movie we attended was PG-13 which you would think it was okay. There was violence, cursing, and sexual slight of hand comments that any teenager would understand.

What is wrong with us today? A new show has come on TV that is GCB, which stands for Good Christian B------. It started out with a sex scene you were not shown, but could assume what was happening. Some of the prime time shows have language that we have become "immune" to. Talking of oral sex during prime time, or any time on TV, to me, is not acceptable. So, what do we do? Do we bury our heads? Do we say, well, that is the way America is going now? To say nothing is to agree. I say all this in leading up to the following verses. We can continue this discussion tomorrow.

John 3:18-21 "There is no judgment against anyone who believes in him. But anyone who does not believe in him has already been judged for not believing in God's one and only Son. And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants."

Think about where you are today. Love you all. More on this tomorrow.

Compassion, the healer of hurts. Isaiah 50:4-10

Good morning all. Yes, another great day to be alive in the LORD JESUS CHRIST! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Are you one who encourages? Do you see the possibilities of the good side of situations? Do you offer comforting words to the weary?

We go to someone offering symphony and assistance when someone, a loved one, is in the hospital or has passed on. Yes, they need and appreciate this. But stop a moment and look around. There are people walking all around you daily who are dieing, yes, dieing; dieing on the inside. They need encouragement. Can you offer encouragement?

Isaiah 50:4-10 talks about the obedient servant who offers a word to the weary. Isaiah 50:4 "God has given Me the tongue of the learned, that I should know how to speak a word in season to him who is weary."

God gave you the tongue of the learned - translated "wisdom." "Speak a word in season to him who is weary"; a smile, a good morning or afternoon, nice tie, blouse, jacket, etc., just a simple word or action can brighten someones day. It may take them to a more positive level, you may have saved a life with just a simple word or gesture.

Compassion is needed to heal the hurts of others. Today is your day of compassion. Love you all.

Is Jesus your catcher? Is your light turned on? John 14:3 - Eph 5:9

Wow! Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Yesterday, in Ephesians 5:8 I talked about letting your light shine. Today, look at verse 9 "For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true."

This verse causes me to reflect on past studies like the "dash" between birthdate and death date; busy doing godly things but not being godly; living in 2 worlds - serving 2 masters - the world and God.

How is your light? Is it a dim flicker, you know, the light is on but nobody home? Does your light glow brighter daily? Doing what is good and right for Jesus, God, following the guidance of the Holy Spirit?

John 14:3 "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also."

Does this give you chills? Jesus has a place prepared just for you, for me, for all his children. We watch trapeze artist and thing about how wonderfully they do their act. The real star is the CATCHER. The star of the show is not a star without the catcher. I, you, we are not the stars of our Christian walk if it were not for our catcher, Jesus Christ, who catches us and makes whole, a bright shining star. Thank you God for Jesus. Love you all.

Does your LIGHT really SHINE? Ephesians 5:8

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Do you shine? Seriously, do others see the light of the LORD in you? Do you shine? Or are you dulled by the daily routine, the ritual you plod through each day with little change? Why? Jesus is the LIGHT, and that LIGHT must SHINE through YOU!

Ephesians 5:8 "For once you were full of darkness, but now you have light from the LORD. So live as people of light!"

Have you offered a word of encouragement to anyone lately? Have you spoke to someone of questionable character and encouraged them?

As the man returned to the appliance store once again to request the refund for the bad refrigerator they purchased 4 weeks prior he was frustrated. When meeting with the manager he did not vent his anger, but was kind and patient. The manager did mention most people are very angry and yelling by this time and thanked him for being patient. Then the manager tried another avenue, bang, it approved and he received his refund. Even though the man requesting the refund did not feel nice inside, he did not let it come forth and the manager thanked him for being nice. This was good.

Also, please let me share, too, you never know who is watching. Last Monday after my granddaughters softball game we went to the Purple Pig (BBQ place) to eat as did many others. Well, we sat there 10-15 and were getting ready to leave when the waitress finally got to us, took our order, and now we had to stay. I did not feel nice inside, was ready to go else where put then sat and reflected on the situation. When the waitress came, I told her it was frustrating for us, the customers who were waiting, but I knew it was even more frustrating and stressful for her and not to hurry, we just appreciated the work she did. Well, she explained they only had 2 waitresses on Mondays. My grandson explained a ballgame just finished down the road and that is probably why they were "slammed."

As we were leaving my grandson, age 12, who observed all this, said that was nice papa, what you told her. That makes the light bulb turn on, realizing we are being watched all the time, whether we realize it or not. Go forth today and let the LIGHT of JESUS SHINE IN YOU! Love you all.

What should you do? Walk humbly with your God! Micah 6:6-8

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

What do you do to please God? Do you try to "purchase" things for God? Do you spend so much time doing "godly" things that you forget God?

Micah 6:6-8 What can we bring to the LORD? What kind of offerings should we give him? Should we bow before God with offerings of yearling calves? 7)Should we offer him thousands of rams and ten thousand rivers of olive oil? Should we sacrifice our firstborn children to pay for our sins? 8)No, O people, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you; to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God."

Micah wrote this 700 before Christ appeared on this earth. Israel was trying to appease God with sacrifices, hoping God would leave them alone. Israel had been reminded of what God had done for them, brought them out of Egypt and slavery; journeyed from Acacia Grove to Gilgal and the LORD just wanted to teach them about faithfulness.

God does not want sacrifices or religious rituals; God wants changed lives. He wants his people to be fair, just, merciful and humble. God wants us to become living sacrifices (Romans 12:1,2), not just doing religious deeds, but living rightly (Jeremiah 4:4; Hebrews 9:14)

It is impossible to follow God consistently without his transforming love in our hearts. Examine these areas on a regular basis. Are you fair in your dealings with people? Do you show mercy to those who wrong you? Are you learning humility? Where are you right now, today? Give it all to God. Love you all.

Are you willing to serve? Judges 7:7

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Remember Saturday, I told you to stay tuned? Okay, how did Gideon decide on the 300? The remaining men he had, God told him to watch as they would drink from the lake. The ones who lapped as a dog were let go, the ones who drank with their hands were chosen. Why? Possibly because they were more alert.

Judges 7:7 "The LORD told Gideon, "With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home."

Was Gideon a great warrior always going forth to fight for God? No. Gideon was surprised by what God told him to do. He did not want to jump into a task for which he was ill prepared. The angel had to overcome 3 objections before Gideon was convinced. How many times are we in the same place? Not wanting to do what God is calling us to do because of the current circumstances.

1. Gideon's feelings of responsibility for his family's welfare; 2) his doubts about the call itself, and 3) his feelings of inadequacy for the job. These were Gideons objections at first in following God's call. How many times do we try to cast off God's call because of our immediate situation?

Once Gideon was convinced he obeyed with zest, resourcefulness, and speed. Once you see what God wants, or where God is taking you do you proceed with zest, resourcefulness and speed? God wants us to depend on Him, not our own strength. That impossible task is possible with GOD. Love you all.

In your own strength or God's? Judges 7:2

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

How strong are you really? Physically and emotionally? Can you do it by yourself. The strength of the LORD is where our strength lies.

Judges 7:2 "The LORD said to Gideon, 'You have too many warriors with you. If I let all of you fight the Midianites, the Israelites will boast to me that they saved themselves by their own strength.'"

Gideon recruited 32,000 men. The LORD reduced his army to 10,000 men. Being human can't you image the talk - what is Gideon doing? Has he lost his mind? What is he thinking?

Then the LORD reduced this 10,000 men down to 300. Whoa! Ole Gideon has really lost it now! Has he been drinking the funny drink and eating of the funny weed? What is going on? We know what was happening because we read the book. They did not have the book to read. In one word what was going on?

Self-sufficiency is a handicap when it causes us to believe we can do what needs to be done in our own strength. These men came to fight, but God reduced the amount of men....why? To God be the glory!

Like Gideon, we must recognize the danger of fighting in our own strength. We can be confident of victory against life's challenges and temptation only if we put our confidence in God, not ourselves. Above, the one word is - GOD! How did Gideon decide on the 300? What did God tell Gideon to do? Stay tuned. Love you all.

How fragile are we? Really? Psalm 90:12

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

We are given many warnings! We have daily warnings, but are we really aware of these warnings? Do we take them seriously? Warning on an iron: Do not iron clothes while on a person. What? You know why? Because someone tried to do this, burned themselves, and tried to sue the maker. Where is just plain common sense?

Psalm 90:12 "Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom."

You, me, WE are not invincible and we should not cruise through life thinking so. A call from a doctor giving us bad news; a careless driver coming into our lane; a falling limb; anything could happen to show just how fragile we really are.

Realizing that life is short helps us use the little time we have more wisely and for eternal good. Take time to number your days by asking - What do I want to see happen in my life before I die? What small step could I take toward that purpose today?

Yesterday is gone; tomorrow is uncertain; today is here. Use it wisely!

Again, I remind you, what do you want YOUR DASH to say? Remember the dash, John Doe 1948 - 2012 on his headstone. What will your DASH say? Say something or send a note to someone in your life today! PRAY: Praise, Repent, Ask, Yield.

"To run the race of life in Christ, This must become your daily goal: Confess your sins, trust God for strength, Use discipline and self-control. Sper

Anything wrong with consulting psyics? Mediums? Socerers? 2 Kings 17:16,17

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Once again, I mention Jeremiah 19 - it definitely has had an impact on me. Friends, I encourage you to read this warning again. If you will go over to 2 Kings 17:16,17 "They rejected all the commands of the LORD their God and made two calves from metal. They set up an Asherah pole and worshiped Baal and all the forces of heaven."
This is verse 16 and the forces of heaven refers to the Canaanite practice of worshiping the sun, moon, and constellations. These were Assyrian gods that were being added to their religion. If you will turn ahead to 2 Kings 21:1-6 it tells about Manasseh who followed his grandfathers footsteps and adopted wicked practices of the Babylonians and Canaanites, including sacrificing his own son. Manasseh did not listen to the words of God's prophets but willfully led his people into sin. To view this copy and paste: http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=2%20Kings%2021:1-6&version=NIV
2 Kings 17:17 "They even sacrificed their own sons and daughters in the fire. They consulted fortune tellers and practiced sorcery and sold themselves to evil, arousing the LORD's anger."
2 Kings 21:6 "Manasseh also sacrificed his own son in the fire. He practiced sorcery and divination, and he consulted with mediums and psychics. He did much that was evil in the LORD's sight, arousing his anger." Manasseh was an evil king, and he angered God with his sin. Listed among Manasseh's sins are occult practices - sorcery and divination, and consulting mediums and psychics. These acts are strictly forbidden by God (Leviticus 19:31; Deuter 18:9-13) because they demonstrate a lack of faith in HIM; involve sinful actions, and open the door to demonic influences.
In today's world we have many books, television shows, and games which emphasize fortune-telling, seances, and other occult practices. Don't let desire to know the future or the belief that superstition is harmless lead you into condoning occult practices. They are counterfeits of God's power and have as their root a system of beliefs totally opposed to God.
As a p.s. Asherah was a Canaanite mother-goddess, a mistress of Baal. Her images were made of wood. The Israelites were expressly forbidden to associate with Asherah practices in any way. Think about this! How often do you put your faith in something else? Love you all.

Mingle with pagans? Psalm 106:34-39

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

I felt such an urgency yesterday of what God was speaking to me. Did you read Jeremiah 19, the whole chapter? It can be quite sobering. A reference coming from verse 5 is Psalm 106:34-39.
"Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land, as the LORD has commanded them. Instead, they mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs. They worshiped their idols which led to their downfall. They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons. They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters. By sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the land with murder. They defiled themselves by their evil deeds, and their love of idols was adultery in the LORD's sight."

Wow!Israel constantly turned away from God. How could they turn from God and worship the idols of the land after the great miracles they saw? Just as we are today. We may not bow down and worship a stone statue or piece of wood, but we do put many things before God. Like our material possessions, and we leave the work of the LORD to others, like the pastors, hired church workers because that is their "job."

We also see great miracles from God, but yet we find ourselves enticed by the "gods of the world" like power, money, convenience, fame, personal pleasures. Israel forgot God and it seems that in many ways we, the Christians and people of the world, have forgotten God. Are you too doing "christian" things to actually be a Christian? Each time we let the world take control of what we do, we give satan a little stronger foot-hold and slide a little further away from God.

Just take time to remember all that God has done for you so you won't be drawn away from Him by all the world's pleasures. Wake up America! It is time to rejoice in the LORD and go forth with boldness and confidence. Love you all.

Listen when God speaks to you. Just spreading the news. Jeremiah 19

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Wow! Have you ever had a revelation? In the middle of the night I woke and was given the scripture Jeremiah 19. I was to read this and share. I don't have this happen often, but I know God was visiting with me. Now, after reading Jeremiah 19 I see the urgency in sharing this message. Copy and paste this address to read Jeremiah 19:
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Jeremiah%2019&version=NIV

Then Jeremiah 19:5 was a verse I was given to read, so here it is. "They have built pagan shrines to Baal, and there they burn their sons as sacrifices to Baal. I have never commanded such a horrible deed; it never even crossed my mind to command such a thing!"

I do not do a lot of study in the Old Testament and for this to come to me in my sleep indicated to me a sense of urgency. I don't feel as if I am the only person to receive this message, but please read it. This passage deals with Jeremiah's shattered jar - where he asks the leaders of the people and the priests to follow him to Ben-Hinnom, a garbage dump of Jerusalem and where children were sacrificed to the god Molech.

Here he smashes the jar, symbolizing what will happen to the city, and tells of God's anger and wrath which will come upon the city. Why did God give this to me during my sleep? I don't really know, but I do know I was to pass this on to you and we, together, will be the mouth piece of God to carry on this message. I see it as a warning to us, the citizens of the United States to stand up for our Christian heritage. Awful, awful pollution is in our airwaves - radio and t.v. and in our cyber-space. Take a stand for Jesus, you will not stand alone. Now, go forth and start spreading the news. Love you all.

Communion? Do you really think about it? 1 Corinthians 10:18-21

Good morning all. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

1 Corinthians 10:18-21 "Think about the people of Israel. Weren't they united by eating the sacrifices at the altar? What am I trying to say? Am I saying that food offered to idols has some significance, or that idols are real gods? No, not at all. I am saying that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don't want you to participate with demons. You cannot drink from the cup of the LORD and from the cup of demons too. You cannot eat at the LORD's table and at the table of demons, too. What? Do we dare to rouse the LORD's jealousy? Do you think we are stronger that he is?

In Old Testament day, when a Jew offered a sacrifice, he ate a part of that sacrifice as a way of restoring his unity with God, against whom he had sinned. (Deuteronomy 12:17)

Similarly, Christians participate in Christ's once for all sacrifice at the LORD's Table when they eat the bread and drink from the cup, symbolizing his body and blood. Paul is talking about recent converts from paganism who could not help being affected if they knowingly ate with pagans in their feasts the meat offered to idols. Paul tells us we cannot serve 2 masters. We cannot serve God and serve the worldly.

How serious do you take the LORD's supper? I personally understand that I must ask forgiveness of my sins and come to the table with a clear forgiven heart/conscience, come humbly, and ask God to help me walk the path he has chosen for me. I, personally, have trouble with "communion" with no understanding. We need to understand that the taking of communion is not just a walk to the front, take bread and drink and go to the altar. Adults and children alike need to know this is not a "snack" but the symbol of Christ's great sacrifice for us. God's sacrifice for us, He gave His son for our sin's. Would you give up a child for the sins of others? Wow, what love.

This reminds me of the story and old pastor and a guest told a group of youth about a man, his son, and his son's friend fishing. Suddenly a storm came up, the boat was capsized, and the old man only had time to save one of the boys. Who would he save? He reached out and saved the son's friend. One of the youth told the old pastor he did not believe that the man would let his son die. The old pastor's guest stood up and spoke at this time. He said he was the friend of the pastors son, and the story was indeed true. When asked why he chose to save the friend, the old pastor replied, explaining he knew his son was saved and he would see him in heaven; the friend was not. The old pastor gave up his son for another, a painful decision, yet the right decision. The guest, the son's friend, being saved, went on to be saved and became a pastor.

I say all this to stimulate thought on your part of why do you take communion? Could you do as the pastor did? Where do you stand right now this very moment with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit? Ask yourself about your relationship with Christ. Tis the time to Stop, Drop, and Pray! Many thoughts are resonating through my mind, and I could write a chapter on this subject. Let this be a stimulant to you, your thoughts, and your relationship with God. Love you all.

The LORD's table demand separation - 1 Corinthians 10:16,17

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Who is your god, really? Have you thought about this? Yesterday Paul talked to people he thought were "wise," but were they? When you carve something out of wood or stone and then pray to it......WHAT WERE YOU THINKING?

1 Corinthians 10:16-17 KJV "The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we being many are one bread, and one body: for we are all partakers of that one bread."

The LORD's table. When a believer participates, he partakes of Christ's blood and His body. This means to share and to participate in the benefits of Christ's saving work on Calvary.

All those who come to the LORD's Supper enter into communion with one another. They form one body in virtue of their joint participation of Christ.

We, you are taking of the blessing, the blessing that Christ gave us. Which is what? The blessing of salvation, of eternal life, of life everlasting - do you really understand how blessed you truly are? It is time to take your head out of the sand and see your blessings.

The bread, one body, we as many are one body but we act as many facets traveling at break-neck speed with no destination. STOP! Let us unite and be one body, working for the same goal, bringing people to Christ, to salvation.

Your world is so very tiny when you look at the whole universe our GOD has created. Look up from your little planet and see what the God of the universe has done, has in store for you, and where He will lead you. GET OUT OF YOUR SELF SERVING BOX AND LIVE FOR JESUS!!! Love you all.
