What is your reflection?? Proverbs 27:19

Good morning everyone!!!! I hope this is a great day for all of you!! A couple of prayer requests: a friend flying to Israel on Sunday, please pray for a safe flight and safety through out her time there; a man, Ken, who will be having surgery today for a blood clot on the brain, please prayer that the surgeons and complete surgery is left in God's hands for guidance and healing; also two unspoken prayer concerns, God knows the needs. Thank you!!!!
Yesterday we talked about love, we should have the love of Jesus residing in our heart. Well, when you go to the mirror, a lake, a window and see your reflection.....what do you see??? Do you see someone who is trying to work things his or her way? A manipulator??? Or are you happy with the reflection you see???
Proverbs 27:19 "As the water reflects the face, so the heart reflects the person." The loudest voice you have is your life of integrity. Your character, which you have built over a life time. This is something, character or integrity, that is difficult to build yet so easy to tear down. What is the expression? I do 99 things right and no one notices, but do 1 thing wrong and everyone knows!!!
As believers in Christ we should be seeking to live each day with discipline, honesty, and faith, then integrity becomes a habit and our character is built.
Proverbs 22:1 "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, oving favor rather than silver and gold."
Thank you for reading with me today. Please pray that the Holy Spirit is involved in all that you and I do as we move forth in our Christian walk. Have a great day, safe weekend, and I will be back on Jan. 1, 2007. Wow!!! Love you all!!!

Love????????

Good morning all!!!! I trust this will be another great day in the Lord for you!! Isn't God grand, even when we are not totally following what he wants us to do, He still takes care of us. If God was not around then we definately would have to "live for the moment", because when it was all over, then that would be it.
However, since we have a wonderful, all powerful living God, we "live the moment for God" which leads to life everlasting. Why? Because He loves us with an undying, open, pure love. 1 John 4:19 NASB "We love, because He first loved us."
Love of God is unconditional. Like the love we have for those closest to us, friends, family, whoever. We don't love them because they are physically beautiful, because they are strong, because they provide us with something we need!! We love them as God loves us, as we love God, and God's love overflows from and through us. God's love is strong. Our love for one another should be equally as strong.
I know, it is hard to love that old bat down the street, but that may be what that person needs, LOVE!! Take a moment, share you love with each other, share with others, if nothing else, offer a kind word to people and see the reaction. Like hello; happy new year; have a nice day and then watch their smile. People just need to know they are loved.
Thank you are reading and praying for one another. I have a friend who will be flying to Israel Saturday, please keep her in your prayers. Also, friends and family will be traveling, please pray openly a travel prayer for those in route. Love you all!! Have a blessed day!!!

Preach the word???? Me???

Good morning everyone!!!! I hope this is a wonderful day in the Lord for each and every one of you. You know, a lot of times we become frustrated at the way people act, and may possibly let it affect us and how we react.
God does not hold us accountable for the way people act, however it is important we act in such a way as to be a good influence on them. Also, not just actions, but words as well. Everyone chooses to honor God in their own way and you cannot force them to act 'the way you think' they should.
How do we do this? We must be in prayer and walking in the way God wants us to walk. We should be in all seasons--meaning listening to God and allowing him to work in us. God will give us the words and attitude to do His work, he will give us the patience and wisdom needed at the time.
2 Timothy 4:2 "PREACH THE WORD; BE PREPARED IN SEASON AND OUT OF SEASON; CORRECT, REBUKE, AND ENCOURAGE-WITH GREAT PATIENCE AND CAREFUL INSTRUCTION."
Thanks for reading. Have a wonderful and safe day. Love you all. Pray for everyone on this list, friends, family, ALL YOU KNOW AND DON'T KNOW!!

Rejoice and be glad

Good morning everyone!!! I hope you had a wonderful Christmas and kept the Christ in it. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. We should be joyful as we are chosen, picked, anointed by the only living God.
Psalm 45:7 "YOU LOVE JUSTICE AND HATE EVIL. THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU, POURING OUT THE OIL OF JOY ON YOU MORE THAN ON ANYONE ELSE."
If God has anointed us, pouring out the oil of joy on us, what are we still belly aching about? We have nothing to belly ache about at all. You get stopped by the police for a bad light, you could have been in a wreck; you don't get all the things you wanted for Christmas, you got gifts; you don't make as much money as you would like, you have a job; you don't have a 3600 square foot home, but you have shelter; and on and on!! So, why are we complaining!
Our God is great, we are taken care of, He anointed us with the oil of joy so rejoice and be glad. thank you for reading. Love you all. Until tomorrow...........enJOY you JOY!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

GOOD MORNING!!! WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY TO BE ALIVE IN THE LORD!!! Hey, I know you probably studied this yesterday in church or at Sunday School, but look at Luke 2:1-8; Joseph went to Bethelem....why??? Because of the religious requirement at the time, and where he went was due to his lineage from David. Jesus comes from David lineage, well, guess what, you are of Jesus' lineage. When you were born, John 3:16, so rejoice, and be proud you are a child of the king.
Live like you are a child of the king, and keep spreading the news. Take time today to celebrate you lineage. Have a wonderful, merry, and safe Christmas. Remember the reason for the season!!! Love you all!!!!
See you tomorrow!!!!

A right time for everything!!

Good morning everyone!!! I trust you enjoyed a comfortable nights rest!! This is a good thing, rest, as we need to be strong in all that we do. We need to be refreshed before we embark upon different tasks. God is good, God takes cares of us, our only requirement is to let go, let God be good to us.
Our reaction to things that happen screams our attitude! Tuesday afternoon in Tyler, a woman turning into the shopping center misjudged her swing and the right side of her SUV bounced over the curb. Being two cars back I was able to see her reaction, she had a big smile and was laughing. What a great reaction!! How many of us would have been frustrated and possible angry at ourselves?? These are the kind of people that are fun to be around. Yes, they may get upset, but their normal reaction is to take things in stride.
Ecclesiastes 3 there is a right time for everything. Read verses 1-8. Then beginning with verse 9 "What does one really get from hard work? (10) I have thought about this in connection with all the various kinds of work God has given to mankind. (11) Everything is appropriate in its own time. But though God has planted eternity in the hearts of men, even so, many cannot see the whole scope of God's work from beginning to end. (12) So I conclude that, first, there is nothing better for a man than to be happy and to enjoy himself as long as he can; (13) AND SECOND, THAT HE SHOULD EAT AND DRINK AND ENJOY THE FRUITS OF HIS LABORS, FOR THESE ARE GIFTS FROM GOD." (14) AND I KNOW THIS, THAT WHATEVER GOD DOES IS FINAL-NOTHING CAN BE ADDED OR TAKEN FROM IT; GOD'S PURPOSE IN THIS IS THAT MAN SHOULD FEAR THE ALL POWERFUL GOD."
Written by Solomon 10th century BC. Was the lady comfortable in her relationship with God, bouncing over the curb she took in stride!?!? Don't know, but what I do know is that God is in control and is the final judge. Love you all. Thank you for reading. Hope all is going well. Erin is doing well, thank you for your prayers.

Life is full of choices, take time!!!

Good morning, I hope you are well. Thank you for being either my friend, relative, or both. This is short, just wishing you a Merry Christmas and asking you take time for God. Jesus is the reason. Love you all. Johnny
Do You Love Him?

The Poem I knelt to pray but not for long,
I had too much to do.
I had to hurry and get to work For bills would soon be due.
So I knelt and said a hurried prayer,
And jumped up off my knees.
My Christian duty was now done
My soul could rest at ease.....
All day long I had no time
To spread a word of cheer
No time to speak of Christ to friends,
They'd laugh at me I'd fear.
No time, no time, too much to do,
That was my constant cry,
No time to give to souls in need
But at last the time, the time to die.
I went before the Lord, I came,
I stood with downcast eyes.
For in his hands God! held a book;
It was the book of life.
God looked into his book and said
"Your name I cannot find
I once was going to write it down...

But never found the time"!!!!!!

Be joyful in all you do, and do it for the Lord God!!!

Better credit??? That will make you happy????

good morning everyone!!!! Oh, yes, a wonderful day in the Lord Jesus Christ. How much He gives us, how little we recognize!! I hope today is a wonderful day in the Lord and you live it as if it were the last day prior to seeing Jesus!!! Live for the Lord!!!!
You know, we have an obligation!!! Yes, and usually our first thoughts are to our family, have a nice home, nice cars, nice clothes, fun toys, big boy toys, and our society encourages this. On T.V. this early a.m. the ad came over that if you want a better life, take care of your credit and check your credit score.
True, our financial obligations are important and God tells us to put our financial affairs in order. BUT, the t.v. is telling us if we have our credit score where it is....oh....say 720 or better, our life will be better. WHY? Because we can BUY, and how do we BUY? On CREDIT!!! Wow!!!! Great!!!! you want a nice home, nice car, nice clothes, big toys, just have them whenever you want and use your CREDIT!!!
1 Corinthians 13:3 "no matter what i say, what i believe, and what i do, i'm bankrupt without love." 1 Corinthians 14:1 "Let love be your greatest aim."
Read Ezekiel 3 and specially around verse 18 to about 22. God is telling Ezekiel to go give the people His message, if he doesn't he will be punished by death. This is our job. Better credit??? Yes, credit with the Lord God in doing what he wants us to do. Make us happy? yes, spreading the word God wants spread. If we don't we are to blame, if we do, then we are held blameless.
Hey, thank you for reading, I am really trying to keep these short so that 1 minute max and you will be done. A lot of people traveling, a lot of people experiencing sorrowful times, pray for them. And I ask a special prayer for my daughter Erin who will be having surgery today. Please pray for comfort for her, and that the surgery be guided by God's hand as He is the cure-all physician. Thank you. Love you all.

Your mission, should you choose to accept it!!!!

good morning everyone!!! What a great day.....it is raining here at my house on the lake. WOW!!! Our lake is so low, hey, good idea, pray about that will you? Thanks. Mission impossible? Naw, MISSION POSSIBLE!!! What are you talking about? What is your mission in life? To be a good person? A good spouse? A good parent? None of these have any bearing on anything if you don't put the first mission first!!! What???? what are you talking about???? Well................it comes from the Bible
John 17:18 "Jesus said, 'In the same way that you, father gave me a mission in the world, I give them (my followers) a mission in the world.'"
Acts 20:24 "The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me."
God is at work in the world and HE wants us to join him. Being a Christian includes being sent into the world as a representative of Jesus Christ. You are the only Christian some people may ever know, and your mission is to share Jesus with them.
You are a child of the King, living God, Father, and your mission is a privilege and honor. Are you doing what would make your Father proud???
Have a great day in the Lord, pray, fellowship, and enjoy. Love you all, thanks for reading.

If no one sees me, then it is okay!!!

Good morning everyone!!! What a beautiful weekend in the Lord!!!! I hope you time was well spent. God gives us 1440 minutes daily to use wisely!!! Wow, another day, one day closer to Christmas, and what is our focus? Gifts, baking, rush rush to get 'things' for Christmas, or is Jesus the focus as He is the reason??? You know, if no one sees what I do, then it is okay. Have you ever been there, done that? Most of us have. Last night in Bible study Ezekiel 8 & 9 jumped out at me. I won't print all of it, but take a moment to go and look. Ezekiel speaks of being lifted up by the spirit and transported to view several things. Ezekiel 8:8 begins with him seeing from the Temple court a hole in the wall of the temple. He dug into the wall and found a hidden room and guess what he saw here? Verse 11 70 elders or Israel were standing there worshiping pictures of what???? Idols, snakes, lizards, idols, etc. Each was buring incense so there was a thick could of smoke. Here the Lord speaks to Ezekiel and tells him the elders are thinking the Lord doesn't see us, so we can worship and do what we want. There were elders worshiping the sun as well. Now, don't you know this anger God!!!! Well, what is the end result? You got it, death!!! Read chapter 9 of Ezekiel.
Now, how often have we been guilty of this? Doing something we know God does not approve of and thinking it will be okay? Or doing something and thinking well I can ask forgiveness for this? It will be okay!! Our character and integrity are on the line and who sees what we do ALL THE TIME!!! God does, and when we veer off the chosen path, satan is there rooting us on and encouraging us. If I, you, whoever, goes out of town, walks with the devil for a day or two, who knows? Who cares?? God does, and then we may reach a point where the judgment comes and God will seat us in either Smoking or Non-Smoking!!!!
Where do you want to be seated?? Who lives in your heart??? Do you do the right thing when tempted???? Yes, we will fall, and that is okay as we are human, but don't lie on the ground, get up, dust yourself off, ask forgiveness, and praise God that He is a living, loving and forgiving God.
Thank you for reading today. GOD bless each one of you. Love you all. have a wonderful and splendid week. See you tomorrow.

Do you hear what I hear????

Good morning!!!! What a wonderful day to be alive in the Lord Jesus
Christ and have a real living God. Well, this week we have been able to
examine our farming abilities, the light, and let's look at Mark 4:24-25.
Referring back to verses 21-23 the light of Jesus' truth is shown to
us, it is not hidden. We may not be able to see or use what Jesus gave
us now. But the longer we study His word and the more we practice
Jesus' teaching, the more the truth will be revealed to us. The truth
is open, clear, and an easy picture to view. Our ability to view this
picture may be clouded, and the only way we can get out of the cloud or
fog is to continue studying His word.
The more we obey, the more we pray, then the clearer God's word (truth)
is on our way. Jesus is testing their listening skills in verses 24 &
25. He says those who listen will understand, and he is not talking
about just listening. This is where Jesus is talking about reverant
listening, be of the word, and able to comprehend the true meaning of
what he is saying. We need to listen AND hear, what does Gods word
say?
Mark 4:24-25 "Then He added, PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO WHAT YOU HEAR. THE
CLOSER YOU LISTEN, THE MORE UNDERSTANDING YOU WILL BE GIVEN-AND YOU
WILL RECEIVE EVEN MORE. TO THOSE WHO LISTEN TO MY TEACHING, MORE
UNDERSTANDING WILL BE GIVEN. BUT FOR THOSE WHO ARE NOT LISTENING, EVEN
WHAT LITTLE UNDERSTANDING THEY HAVE WILL BE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM."
So, do you hear what I hear? Are we listening on the same wave
length? Are your ears spiritually tuned? Or are they wordly tuned?
This brings about a song, "DO YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?" Love you all,
thanks for reading, have a great weekend. Don't forget church, when we
go it helps us to remember: GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME, AND ALL THE TIME
GOD IS GOOD!

Is your light shining??????

Good morning everyone!!! I hope this is a wonderful day for each and every one of you!!!! God blesses us each and everyday. God is good all the time and all the time God is good!!!! What a blessing to be a Christian!! This time of year most people are happy and in good moods! Why do we all have to wait until Christmas time to let our brotherly love shine in us? Hmmm?
Today, some Christians do hide, they will not openly, or are reluctant to be known or ID'ed as a Christian. Why? This person is like a new candle that never comes out of the carton. It casts no like, its beauty doesn't show, nothing comes of it for what it's purpose is. Is this your Christianity? Hidden? Not shining forth? What does Jesus say?
Mark 4:21-23 "Then Jesus asked them, "WOULD ANYONE LIGHT A LAMP AND THEN PUT IT UNDER A BASKET OR UNDER A BED? OF COURSE NOT! A LAMP IS PLACED ON A STAND, WHERE ITS LIGHT WILL SHINE. FOR EVERYTHING THAT IS HIDDEN WILL EVENTUALLY BE BROUGHT INTO THE OPEN, AND EVERY SECRET WILL BE BROUGHT TO LIGHT. ANYONE WITH EARS TO HEAR SHOULD LISTEN AND UNDERSTAND."
So, if you are hiding, or are hiding something, you can keep it a 'secret' from me, but not from our living God. It will come out into the open. Be proud of your lineage, you are a child of the King, of the Heavenly Father. Don't hide anything!! Something bad talk to Jesus, let it be revealed and ask forgiveness. If you are down in courage just talk to Jesus and ask Him for strength. Take time today to pray, ask God for knowledge and wisdom to do what is right in His sight, to walk His walk, to be a Christ like example.
Thank you for reading with me today. Stop, Drop, and Pray. God is always there, Jesus is always there, the Holy Spirit will led. Just give them the opportunity. Love you all! I claim a wonderful day, a victory through Jesus!!!!

Sooo....what type of farmer are you??????

Good morning all!!! A beautiful day yesterday and to be equaled today!!
Wow!!! Where are the golf clubs and golf courses on beautiful days like
this? (or the lake and fishing equipment for you fishermen)Isn't GOD
great? All the time!! Wow!!! Does he ever take care of us, we just have
to let him.
Yesterday we talked about the farmer who sowed seed by hand, touching
each seed, and where it fell. Well, what all does that mean? Jesus
was a little frustrated with His disciples but He explained it. So,
what does it mean? Here is Mark 4:13-20
"Then Jesus said to them, "IF YOU CAN'T UNDERSTAND THE MEANING OF THIS
PARABLE, HOW WILL YOU UNDERSTAND ALL THE OTHER PARABLES? THE FARMER
PLANTS SEED BY TAKING GOD'S WORD TO OTHERS. THE SEED THAT FELL ON THE
FOOTPATH REPRESENTS THOSE WHO HEAR THE MESSAGE, ONLY TO HAVE SATAN
COME AT ONCE AND TAKE IT AWAY. THE SEED ON THE ROCKY SOIL REPRESENTS
WHO WHO HEAR THE MESSAGE AND IMMEDIATELY RECEIVE IT WITH JOY. BUT
SINCE THEY DON'T HAVE DEEP ROOTS, THEY DON'T LAST LONG. THEY FALL
AWAY AS SOON AS THEY HAVE PROBLEMS OR ARE PERSECUTED FOR BELIEVING
GOD'S WORD. THE SEED THAT FELL AMONG THE THORNS REPRESENTS OTHERS WHO
HEAR GOD'S WORD, BUT ALL TOO QUICKLY THE MESSAGE IS CROWDED OUT BY THE
WORRIES OF THIS LIFE, THE LURE OF WEALTH, AND THE DESIRE FOR OTHER
THINGS, SO NO FRUIT IS PRODUCED. AND THE SEED THAT FELL ON GOOD SOIL
REPRESENTS THOSE WHO HEAR AND ACCEPT GOD'S WORD AND PRODUCE A HARVEST
OF THIRTY, SIXTY, OR EVEN A HUNDRED TIMES AS MUCH AS HAD BEEN
PLANTED."
So....which seed did you plant or better yet which seed are you????
Jesus said it quite well, how can I improve on this?? Take it to your
heart and you make your own decision. Tomorrow we'll talk about if
you can see the light. Thank you for reading. Love you all. Please
pray for all our family, friends, and neighbors in need. Also, for
the leaders whether they be at work, locally, or nationally. God bless
you.

Are you a farmer????

Good morning everyone!!! What a day!! Obviously we are alive since I am typing and now you are reading.....God has given us another chance to do something for his kingdom. What are you going to do?
Jesus spoke to a very large crowd and said,"Listen! A farmer went out to plant some seed. As he scattered it across his field, some of the seed fell on a footpath, and the birds came and ate it. Other seed fell on shallow soil with underlying rock. The seed sprouted quickly because the soil was shallow. But the plant soon wilted under the hot sun, and since it didn't have deep roots, it died. Other seed fell among throns that grew up and choked out the tender plants so they produced no grain. Still other seeds fell on fertile soil and they sprouted, grew and produced a crop that was thrity, sixty, and even a hundred times as much as had been planted!! Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand." Mark 4:3-9
Each seed was touched by the farmer.....BUT EACH SEED WAS TOUCHED. The farmer sowed the seed by hand, where the seed fell and tried to take root is the idea here. Stop, evaluate you life, are you planting seeds in fertile ground or are they cast atop the hard, rocky soil? Does it matter where you plant the seed? As long as you plant the seed, you are spreading God's message.
Today is a great day to be a farmer!!! Touch many seeds by hand, spread the word. Let's see......there is a song that goes "start spreading the news", maybe that was made for us. Please pray for your friends and neighbors, also my daughter Erin, God knows her needs, pray for encouragement for her and others. Thank you. God bless. Love you all.

Yeah?? And.....What of it????

Good morning everyone!!! What a great day to be alive in the Lord Jesus Christ!!!! Yes, it does get better than this, when we see Jesus face to face.....wow.....awesome!!! This is the holiday season, the Christmas spirit, a time when MOST people are happy and enjoying life. However, there are some bah humbugs around. When you encounter them, don't let them bring you down. Just stop and think how much Jesus loves you and how great live everafter will be.
Saturday, after encountering a lot, bunches, hordes, tons of traffic in Tyler I did not become angry or have road rage. However, I did get to see an example of it. Going into the left turn lane, with 15 or more cars ahead I heard one little horn still honking after the left turn light went to red. I thought I wonder who is so impatient? Well, as life rotates, the wheel turns, or God deems it, when I pulled up in the inside turn lane guess who I was right beside. Yep, the one honking his horn. Now this was an eye opener!! I have become frustrated and sometimes angry when driving, but never like what I encountered!! WOW!!!
Okay, so you want to know what happened? Well, let me tell you, but first today scripture is Colossians 3:8 "BUT NOW IS THE TIME TO GET RID OF ANGER, RAGE, MALICIOUS BEHAVIOR, SLANDER, AND DIRTY LANGUAGE." Does this give you a clue????
As I sat there this man with his wife, in a little blue car was sitting there. She, being the quiet one was meekly looking around while he was expressing himself rather loudly and clearly. His language brought back old memories, really old memories, of when I was in the military back in the late 60's and early 70's. His descriptive adjective was the 'f' word and he was carrying on about the drivers need to go back to New York or Mexico or wherever they were from.
His wife noticed I looked over and could hear him and his statement was something to the effect of; "I don't give ****** *#$*& who can *#$% *#$% me." Sorry, but all I could do was smile, then laugh, I had to turn my radio up and listen to Christmas music. A thought did cross my mind, but as angry as he was I decided not to tell him, "Jesus loves you and Merry Christmas." So I just went on, listening to my oh so pleasant Christmas music.
We should get rid of our evil practices, our immorality, and be more Christ like. I may have been able to do something but I did not. I could have fallen into the snare and allowed him to make my day miserable but I did not. Where are you today?? Don't fall into the snare satan sets for us so that we may be provoked at the slighest item that does not go our way.Look up, remember Jesus, he loves you, "ain't Jesus great?!?!"
Hey, thanks for reading, I felt compelled to pass that story on. I am at a conference in Austin, but do have internet. Love you all. Get back rage, come on Christ. Pray ye one for another.

Do your batteries need recharging???????

Good morning all!!! A beautiful day in the Lord, however, a little bit cool here in East Texas. You know, when we think we are about done, can't go on, we need to remember who provides us the strength all the time, especially in the time of need.
Psalm 118:14 "THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH AND MY SONG, AND HE HAS BECOME MY SALVATION." When your batteries are like your cell phone and need to be recharged because of overuse what do you do? Here is a little story about a biker (pedal).
He was traveling with his cycling club and only had 2 miles left until he could rest for the night. There was a problem however, he was tired, thirsty, and not sure he could go on. No water, no energy bars, discouraged because he knew his friends were at the hotel and relaxing and enjoying the sun. The sun!!! The same sun that was making his life miserable right now. Various thoughts darted through his mind, stop and walk, ugh, no 2 miles in cyclist shoes.
Suddenly he felt a push from the back. Another cyclist he did not know had come up, was helping him up the mountain. They stopped, the cyclist gave him an energy bar, some water, and spoke words of encouragement. The cyclist made the final journey, but where was the kind person who helped. This could not have been an angel, cus angels don't ride bikes and wear cyclist attire, surely not.
What ever happened to the other cyclist?????????? But when he needed his batteries recharged, he got help. God promises rest and replenishment for the weary, and this may come in many forms. Do not be afraid to ask God for His gifts of strength and renewal. You may need to pull over to the side of the road and ask God to recharge you mentaly, physically and spiritually. You can do so much more if your battery says charged instead of recharge.
2 Corinthians 4:16 "We do not lost heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day."
Isaiah 40:31 "Those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint."
Thank you for reading. Have a wonderful and blessed day. May the angel of renewal recharge your batteries. Love each of you. Don't forget to pray.

Don't Worry!!! Be happy!!!! (with an accent)

Good morning everyone, I hope this is a wonderful day for each of you. God is good all the time and all the time God is good. Do you take time to stop and reflect on what all God has given you? It is so easy to say see what "I" have, what "I" bought, etc. Who made all this possible? Yep, the one, the only, our living God. Psalm 118:24 "THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE; LET US REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT." So, what is this saying? It's saying don't worry, be happy!!!! How hard is that? What are you expecting from the day ahead?
If you expect the day to be trying, difficult, and are not looking forward to it.....well....then....--- begin your day with God, talk to Jesus, and keep Him present throughout the day, and end your day with God. Then you should have a day of rejoicing.
Today, give thanks to God for you life today, then give thanks for God sending His Son that you have life, then use this day, the 1440 minutes you have, and make them special and precious for the Lord, servanthood!!
Jim Elliot said, "Wherever you are, be all there. Live to the hilt every situation you believe to be the will of God." Phillipians 4:4 "REJOICE IN THE LORD ALWAYS. I WILL SAY IT AGAIN, REJOICE!" You are on life's journey, let each step be worthwhile and pleasing in God's sight.
Thank you for reading with me today. Some people on the pray list Bobby (cancer), Timmy (liver & colon), Brad (back), and our church, church leaders, civil leaders, friends, family and neighbors. Love you all.

Weaknesses? Pride makes us weak??

Good morning everyone!! I hope this is a great day in the Lord for you. May all you say and do bring glory to our Lord and saviour. Yesterday pride was a topic, and still is as we learn to grow through our weaknesses.
As a child of God do we have to be strong all the time? No, it is through our weakness that we will grow. Pride sets in and we fall, hey, do you see a weakness here? 2 Corinthians 12:9 "EACH TIME HE SAID, 'MY GRACIOUS FAVOR IS ALL YOU NEED. MY POWER WORKS BEST IN YOUR WEAKNESS.' SO NOW I AM GLAD TO BOAST ABOUT MY WEAKNESSES, SO THAT THE POWER OF CHRIST MAY WORK THROUGH ME."
We cannot always be stong, but the challenges, complexities, and demands of our everyday life often reveals our weaknesses. However, during our weakness God's wisdom and power may be seen. We have to turn to God. When we have these weak times we need to use knee mail and pray. God promises to be with us.
Isaiah 41:10 "DON'T BE AFRAID, FOR I AM WITH YOU. DO NOT BE DISMAYED, FOR I AM YOUR GOD. I WILL STRENGTHEN YOU. I WILL HELP YOU. I WILL UPHOLD YOU WITH MY VICTORIOUS RIGHT HAND."
Let your weakness be a strength through God, ask for wisdom and knowledge from your Father, He will deliver. Just as we grow from experiences, we grow from weakness (an experience). We can do all things through Christ who what? Strengthens me!!! Yeah!!!! Strengthens me, so where is my strength. Christ Jesus who gave it all for me!!!
Thank you for reading. I hope and pray this will touch each of you in a special way. I cherish your comments, if I read something differently let me know. Love you all. Pray for our friends in e-world, at home, our church, pastors, leaders, people we work with. Just take a moment and ask God to be in control, turn it all over to Him.

Humility? Pride? Who Me?

Good morning everyone!!! May this be a great day in the Lord for you. May God bless you in ways you never thought of. Have you thought about pride? I am sure you have, but you know, we all like to have an 'atta boy' every now and then. But, if we long for, or find that deep inside we want to be recognized, we may need a readjustment of our attitude and heart.
When pride steps in, there seems to be a tendency to say "See what I did", the big "I". When "I" gets in the way we are going to experience difficulties, and I am speaking from experience first hand. We need to learn to be humble, as Jesus Christ did. Christ came, humbled Himself, and went through the suffering for you and for me. He could have stopped and changed everything, and said no, I won't go through this torment, but He didn't.
John 3:27-30 John replied, "GOD IN HEAVEN APPOINTS EACH PERSON'S WORK. YOU YOURSELVES KNOW HOW PLAINLY I TOLD YOU THAT I AM NOT THE MESSIAH.....HE MUST BECOME GREATER AND GREATER, AND I MUST BECOME LESS AND LESS."
Your leadership, whatever it may be, is appointed by God, not earned by you own efforts. You are responsible in your work but we have to be careful to not let pride get in the way. Remember John the Baptist, who Jesus called the greatest on earth, humbled himself so that he could lift up Jesus. What are you doing in your role to lift up Jesus?
Thank you for reading today. I hope this will touch you in some way, usually it seems the Spirit is talking to me when these items come up. I feel a burden, and just pray that the Holy Spirit will lead. Love you all. Have a wonderful Jesus day.

Are you walking a tightrope?

good morning everyone!!! I hope this is a great day in the Lord for you all. God IS GOOD all the time, and ALL THE TIME God is good!!!! Life is wonderful, life is short, afterlife is fabulous, afterlife is forever. We are simply practicing here how God wants us to act "up there".
Ephesians 6:13 "TAKE UP THE WHOLE ARMOR OF GOD, THAT YOU MAY BE ABLE TO WITHSTAND IN THE EVIL DAY, AND HAVE DONE ALL TO STAND." A tightrope walker has to have a strong sense of one thing.....that is....BALANCE!!! If he/she does not, then he/she will now be a tightrope faller, not a good thing. We have to have balance in our lives, and it may be easier to spot imbalance in someone else's life than our own.
In this case we need to do self-diagnosis, and this may help. Start out with HOW STRONG IS MY RELATIONSHIP WITH: GOD...........then SPOUSE..........then CHILDREN......and let's finish the chain.. how well is my career going? do I get along with coworkers? how are my finances (in order)? do I make friends and keep friends? Is Christ evident in my life? Am I taking care of the temple of the Lord (body)?
If your answers are in the negative, then it is time for a heart transplant, not of the natural world but of the spiritual world. Start with number one, GOD, if He is not number 1, whoa, we have a problem. If God is by your side, then you will be able to walk the tightrope, or balance you life with less problems. Can't say 'no problems' as the devil is alive and moving. Just stay close to God and He will reveal his plan for you.
Just ask God to help you balance the priorities in you life. Find someone, a prayer partner, anyone, who will hold you accoountable to live a balanced live. Encourage struggling friends, and maybe keep a diary or journal of the challenges you face and your victories.
I Corinthians 14:40 "LET ALL THINGS BE DONE DECENTLY AND IN ORDER."
Thank you for reading, have a wonderful day in the Lord and at work. Love you all. Don't forget to pray for us all.

What are you doing to the Holy Spirit??

Good morning everyone!!! What a..brrrrr...cool morning here in East Texas!! Makes you want to climb back into bed, turn on a movie or soft music and go back to sleep. Well, it does me anyway....lol.. As we go into the weekend please remember people in your prayers. Please take a moment and ask the Holy Spirit to fill you with his understanding, also a special prayer for Bobby, Lisa, Ashley, Whitney, Jayde, and anothter Ashley. They are fighting illnesses that are keeping them back. Thank you.
Ephesians 4:30-32 (New International Version) 30And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
Now, what is this saying to you. The Holy Spirit is a very sensitive person, stop offending Him by your rebellious deeds or bad words. You are sealed, marked, purchased by God and will be transformed into His likeness in the end. You need to void yourself of all forms of bitterness, resentment, anger. Do not let wrath build up in you as it will eat away at you and your witness of the Holy Spirit being in you, of Jesus, of God! Stop having bursts of anger, using insulting words, put away all of your bad things, all of your vices. God wants us to make a house cleaning of his temple, which is you, and be rid of all unchristian characteristics.
Verse 32 what does Paul say? Be kind, tenderhearted, erciful, compassionate, loving to one another. Why? That person made me mad, or that car isn't driving right, or..... WHOA!!! We are to forgive others just as God forgave us. We should let the life of Christ show in us and through us. This is the evidence needed to show we have put on the new nature, we are of God. God forgives, God forget, we must also!!!
So, as we go into the weekend what are you doing to the Holy Spirit? Are you grieving Him, or greeting Him? The choice is yours!!! The choice is yours....walk in the light with God....or..walk in the dark without God!
Thank you for reading with me today. Paul has so much to tell us, we need to be as Timothy and hunger for more and more of God's word. Love you all have a great weekend, see you on Monday. Be safe!!
