God will discipline Jeremiah 30:11

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Jeremiah 30 promises restoration. In this chapter Jeremiah speaks of trouble and gloom and of hope and consolation. The people (Israel) would one day be restored to their land, and God would make a new covenant with them to replace the one they broke.

This is as we are today, we sin and disobey, then, eventually, we repent and obey. Jeremiah 30: 11 ".........I will discipline you, but with justice; I cannot let you go unpunished."

We may protest, we don't want punishment, even though our sin may have been scandalous. Punishment is an oportunity for growth because it makes us aware of sin's consequences. The people should have asked how they could profit from their mistakes. Remember this the next time you are corrected. How can I grow and be a better witness for God? Take time now to pray, first for forgiveness, then praise God and lay all your troubles at HIS feet. I ask your prayer for me, as I will pray for you. Love you all.

The Yoke's on you - Jeremiah 26: 1-3

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

I do hope this day greets and treats you well. A thought for the day:
"The man who lives by himself and for himself is likely to be corrupted by the company he keeps."

Hang in here today. Stop and think about the following information.

Is your yoke on straight? Jeremiah doned a yoke to represent the harsh domination of Babylon. Our yoke from Jesus symbolizes our relationship with Him, a fellowship of joy and rest. Yokes stand for submission: Jeremiah's was of a rebellious nation and ours is one of a friend who provides all that is necessary for life and godliness.

Look at Jeremiah 26:1-3 "This message came to Jeremiah from the LORD early in the reign of Jehoiakim son of Josiah, king of Judah. This is what the LORD says: Stand in the courtyard in front of the Temple of the LORD and make an announcement to the people who have come there to worship from all over Judah. Give them my entire message; include every word. Perhaps they will listen and turn from their evil ways. Then I will change my mind about the disaster I am ready to pour out on them because of their sins."

God reminded Jeremiah that he wanted his entire message given - "include every word." Jeremiah may have been tempted to leave out the parts that would turn his audience against him, sound too harsh, or make him sound like a traitor. But by God's comand, he was not to delete parts of God's message to suit himself, his audience, or the circumstances in which he found himself.

Look around your community, your church, your state and nation; we must never ignore or exclude important parts of God's Word to please someone. We have teachers in seminaries, pastors in the pulpit, Sunday school teachers who don't believe in the virgin birth, resurrection of Christ, forgiveness of sins, and on and on. Can you stand proud and present JESUS CHRIST as He really is? Can you stand up for Jesus or cower down before someone who speaks against?

America and the world is toying with God's word and what are you doing about it? Love you all.

Are you drinking of the cup with God's fury? Turn now! Jeremiah 24 - 25

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Thought for today: It costs us to follow Jesus Christ, but it costs us more not to.

Jeremiah 25 Jeremiah talks of the cup of God's fury. Jeremiah gave his message in 605 B.C., and he predicted the 70 years of captivity 20 years before it began.

Jeremiah is preaching the same message for 23 years and is continually rejected. Jeremiah had committed his life to God, he continued to proclaim the message and was rejected.

Jeremiah did not give up! God never stops loving us, even when we reject him. We can thank God that he won't give up on us, and like Jeremiah, we can commit ourselves to never forsaking him.

When you share God's word, no matter how people respond, remain faithful to God's high call and continue to witness for HIM, GOD!

During this time, Judah was not the only nation to drink the cup of God's anger. He tells which nations, and tells them they will become a waste land. Does this change their ways? NO! They continue to laugh, enjoy, and worship idols they made with their own hands. When God comes, in His anger, there is no place to hide.

In Chapter 24 Jeremiah speaks of the good fig and the bad or rotten figs. The good figs are the Jews who left Judah and went to Babylon and will survive. The rotten figs are the ones who remained and continued their ungodly ways. The good figs God will watch over, bring them back and lift them up. May you, in your walk with God, be a good fig; be lifted up and follow God's word and do His work. Let us not be the figs that will be destroyed. Are you right with God? If not, no better time than right now. Take time and spend time with God. Love you all.

Every nation has the government it deserves! Jeremiah 21 & 22

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Most every nation has the government it deserves.

Take time today to read Jeremiah 21 & 22. Judah has turned away from God, time is running out. Once they see this they call for Jeremiah and want him to intercede to God for them and stop the Babylonian King, Nebuchadnezzar, from taking over their land. The children of Judah are trying to make God an enabler.

Please come and help us and we will listen, yeah, listen only when they are in trouble. This relates to us in our lives, in our nation, in our world. God, our Father, was tired of Judah turning their back on Him, worshipping false idols, being greedy and dishonest, being unjust, and not helping the poor and needy. Then, when they are in danger.....run to daddy. God's judgment came down on His children, just as we must do in our earthly walk.

Have you ever talked to a parent who had to kick their child out of the house; put or watch as that child went to jail; stood by to observe the punishment ordered by the courts? Those parents will tell you it is hard, it breaks their heart. This is what Judah did to God and we are talking about 600 years B.C.

Look around you today, in your community, your county, your state and your AMERICA! The same thing is happening. We, as a nation are sliding away from God. In chapter 22 of Jeremiah the people who fled Jerusalem would live, the ones who stayed in Jerusalem, doing the same things perished. Where are you today? Ready to flee and fight for God or remain and perish?

Our nation has the government it deserves. ACLU is alive and well and battling every step of the way. Stand up Christians for your rights. Love you. Tell someone about Jesus today. Turn back, America, to God!!!

Are gifts free? Trouble Free?

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!

A couple of True and False questions.
1. Salvation is a free gift____ (Ephesians 2:8-9)
2. Discipleship is a costly pursuit ____ (Luke 14:25-33)

For Jeremiah, following God and obeying HIS will involved paying an enormous price: the price of lost comfort, restricted freedom (prison), and personal sacrifice (Jer 16:1-13). Jeremiah willingly endured some unusual restrictions in order to accomplish a unique mission in life.
In Luke, Jesus Christ encouraged his followers to sit down and count the cost. Salvation is a free gift, but discipleship may and can be a costly pursuit. How could following Jesus Christ cost you? It may mean giving up a thriving business? An ambition you had? The praise of many. We have to evaluate ourselves and see what is keeping us from following in the footsteps of Jesus Christ, our LORD and Saviour.
Jeremiah, in his life, experienced voluntarily what Judah would later endure through God's judgment. Jeremiah was beaten and thrown in prison for being faithful to God. Are you willing to do this? Could you experience the persecution many of our brothers and sisters in Christ experience all around the world?
Evaluation time, just like in Jeremiah's time. Are you placing "Baal's" before God? Are you a head only Christian? A Sunday only Christian? You can talk the talk but cannot walk the walk. Jeremiah did. Jeremiah had a burden - being faithful to God. Do you have this burden? Tomorrow, there will come a last chance. Love you all.

Loincloth- New or Rotting?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Jeremiah 13 to paraphrase, God tells Jeremiah to buy a loincloth, not wash it, but to wear it. Then take it and hide it in the rocks by the Euphrates River. Later, God instructed Jeremiah to retrieve the loincloth and by this time it was rotten, dirty and decaying. The garment is unfit to wear.

God saw Judah and Israel as a loincloth, attached to Him and worn proudly. But they have decayed, are evil, and are rotting; unfit to be called of GOD. Judah and Israel became so filled with evil, lust, idol worshipping, that God could no longer tolerate their behavior. There is a time to pray, to repent, to come to God on your knees. But a day is coming when it will be too late to pray. Are we close?

Earthquakes in Colorado and on the East Coast yesterday. Does this not alert you? Or is this just another day in your life. I spoke to God this morning but now I am on my way. If you ran a business like your spiritual life; would it survive and thrive or wilt and die? Take 5 to 30 minutes a day to take care of business and then do what you want?

Isaiah 55:6 "Seek the LORD while HE may be found." Please reread this and note "while" and its placement. If you obey that command you will find a great promise waiting for you in Hebrews 11:6 (And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.) A great promise.

Fallen? Get up! Wrong path? Turn back

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Idolatry. Hypocrisy. Have these not filled our national life as they did in ancient Judah? People, preachers, teachers all practice worthless worship with indifference to God. Oh, well, the book (Bible) was written by chauvinist men of ancient times and it does not relate to us today. Hello?

We have instincts, like warning lights on a dashboard, do we address the problem or ignore it? Let's look at Jeremiah 8:4-9 and see if you feel this may relate to our world, America, today.

Jeremiah 8:4-9 "Jeremiah, say to the people, 'This is what the LORD says: When people fall down, don't they get up again? When they discover they're on the wrong road, don't they turn back? Then why do these people stay on their self-destructive path? Why do the people of Jerusalem refuse to turn back? They cling tightly to their lies and will not turn around. I listen to their conversations and don't hear a word of truth. Is anyone sorry for doing wrong? Does anyone say, What a terrible thing I have done? No! All are running down the path of sin as swiftly as a horse galloping into battle! Even the stork that flies across the sky knows the time of her migration, as do the turtledove, the swallow, and the crane. They all return at the proper time each year. But not my people! They do not know the LORD's laws. How can you say, We are wise because we have the word of the LORD, when your teachers have twisted it by writing lies? These wise teachers will fall into the trap of their own foolishness, for they have rejected the word of the LORD. Are they so wise after all?'"

God watched Judah, as he watches us today, he sees people living sinful lives by choice, deceiving themselves that there would be no consequences. Have we lost perspective concerning God's will for our lives and are trying to minimize our sin?

If we see indicators that we have fallen down or are on the wrong track, what are we doing to get back on the right path? Think about this, share God's word. Love ya'll.

Sin filled or Son filled?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Well, how was last week? Sin filled or Son filled? Please take a moment to read Jeremiah 1 and absorb the words spoken there. In verses 14-19 God's promise to Jeremiah and to us is that nothing will defeat us completely; he will help us through the most agonizing problems. Face each day with the assurance that God will be with you and see you through.

Jeremiah 1:16 "I will pronounce judgment on my people for all their evil- for deserting me and burning incense to other gods. Yes, they worship idols made with their own hands!"

The people of Judah sinned greatly by continuing to worship other gods. God had commanded them specifically against this because idolatry places trust in created things rather than the Creator. Although these people belonged to God, they chose to follow false gods.

Many "gods" entice us to turn away from God. Material possessions, dreams for the future, approval of others, and vocational goals compete for our total commitment. Striving after these at the expense of our commitment to God puts our heart where Judah's was - and God severely punished Judah.

Soooo, who really is your God? The created? Or the creator? If the creator, do you take it seriously daily or just on Sunday? Oh, how we parallel so many ancient nations that became corrupt and are no longer. Now is the time to turn away from "gods", turn to GOD, pray and live a God worthy life. Love you all.

Sins? Naw, I don't, oh, maybe once in a while!

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Tell me about sin. Have we become a nation, a world where we have lost sight of the seriousness of sin? Sometimes we write it off as oh that is just Johnny, or well, he/she just made an error in judgment, just a slip of the tongue, well I just had a moment of weakness - call it what you wish. It is sin. God does not play with sin.

What would you think of a doctor who found a tumor in you and said, "take two aspirin and you'll be just fine?" Or a fireman who came to a fire and said it will burn itself out soon! Or a policeman coming to a robbery and said well, you know boys will be boys. Not one of these is acceptable. We would be up in arms and want their jobs taken away.

God's word does not play this game. Any transgression of God's law is sin. (1 John 3:4) and the payment due for falling short of God's glory is death (Romans 3:23; 6:23)

1 John 3:4 - there is a difference between committing a sin and continuing in that sin. We all will sin, but we can repent, confess it and find forgiveness. A person who continues to sin is not sorry for what he or she is doing.

Romans 3:23 tells us we all have sinned and fall short of God's glorious standard. Then 3:24 tells us that we are righteous because of Jesus Christ when He freed us from the penalty of our sins.

So, the choice is yours - Sin and continue to sin with no remorse and then go to hell. OR, ask forgiveness of your sins through Jesus Christ and be on a path to heaven.

It does not take such a great man to be a Christian, it just take all there is of him. Love you all.

Moses asked forgiveness.....do you?

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Have you thought about your Christian morality? Is it built on sinking sand or a solid rock? Did you experience any erosion yesterday?

After God spoke to Moses (Exodus 34:6-7) telling him that he is LORD, and speaking of our sins and how they will affect the children and grandchildren, what did Moses do?

Exodus 34:8-9 "Moses immediately threw himself to the ground and worshipped. And he said, "O LORD, if it is true that I have found favor with you, then please travel with us. Yes, this is a stubborn and rebellious people, but please forgive our iniquity and our sins. Claim us as your own special possession."

Is this what we should do? Get on our knees before God, admit we are sinners, ask God's favor and guidance? We are God's people and should be willing to admit we are sinners, and let the Spirit lead us in all we do.

Where are you today? Oh, how HE loves us, but do we love HIM as much in return. I would but I don't have time. BUNK! We make time to sit and visit, watch t.v., fish, golf, go to movies, but not time for GOD? Satan's tools are working well - busy people doing whatever EXCEPT God's work. I am going to take time as Moses did, ask forgiveness and pray, pray that the Spirit leads me today. Love you all.

Erosion! Is it happening in your Christian life?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

So, what is going on in your world? Are you following God's word? Do you take it for what it says? Do you believe it is written for you today? Just like it was written for people of the ancient days.

Many times our daily walk is like building a sand castle at the beach. When we finish we step back and look at our creation. But then, as the tide begins to roll in and gets closer and closer to our castle things begin to happen. Erosion is taking place, the foundation is weakened, the walls begin to sag, eventually the complete structure weakens and comes crashing down.

Does this erosion happen in your Christian life. Something that you once considered unthinkable is now tolerated. Example, many Christians don't "curse" yet they will use words like: crap, darn, fricken or friggen, son of a ....(then tail off), and on and on. Is this really okay with God? Or is it just okay with God in our minds - called justification or rationalizing? We cannot escape the consequences of the erosion of our Christian lives.

Exodus 34:6-7 "Yahweh! The LORD! The God of compassion and mercy! I am slow to anger and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness. I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations. I forgive iniquity rebellion, and sin. But I do not excuse the guilty. I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren, the entire family is affected- even children in the third and fourth generation."

Here Moses wanted to see God. God did not give Moses a vision of his power and majesty, but of his love. God's glory is revealed in his mercy, grace, compassion, faithfulness forgiveness and justice. God's love and mercy are wonderful and we do benefit from them.

Verse 7 talks about sins affecting children and grandchildren. Children do suffer from the sins of their parents. Huh? How? Consider child abuse, alcoholism, drugs, stealing, or whatever. These are selfish sins and the consequences of these sins do affect others.

We cannot treat sin or the erosion of our Christian life lightly. We need to repent and turn from it - but will we. Not in our own strength, but in the strength of the LORD, God, who is our saviour. Please take time today, stop the erosion, build not on sinking sand but on the ROCK, Jesus Christ. Love you all.

Isaiah 43:10 God and His witnesses

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Food for thought. If a 5 year old came up and asked you to describe God, how would you do it for a 5 year old. Can you describe God for a 10 year old, 20, 30, 40 or older?? Can you describe God adequately?

Who is God? Where is He? Our job is to be a witness for God. Are you a witness for God?

Isaiah 43:10 "But you are my witnesses, O Israel" says the LORD. You are my servant. You have been chosen to know me, believe in me, and understand that I alone am God. There is no other God--there never has been, and there never will be."

We are not Israelites, however, because of Jesus and spreading the good news to the gentiles we are part of God's chosen. Have you told the world who God is and what he has done? Do people know what God is like through your words and example? People cannot see God directly, but through you they will see the reflection. Look at yourself, is this the reflection of God you want others to see?

You have been chosen! Believe in God! There is no other God! Let your reflection is of our good and great GOD!!!

Deuteronomy 22:1 Caring for your neighbors property

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

How are things going in your life? Well, I do trust. God is a living God and is always there for us. Are we always there for Him? Do you walk the walk and talk the talk? Or do you just talk?

I can talk, and I have good intentions, however, you know what they say about good intentions. Do you take your responsibility as a Christian seriously? Do you take your responsibility as a neighbor seriously?

Deuteronomy 22:1 "If you see your neighbor's ox or sheep or goat wandering away, don't ignore your responsibility. Take it back to its owner."

The Hebrews were to care for and return lost animals or possessions to their rightful owners. The way of the world, by contrast, is "Finders keepers, losers weepers." If we get past the finders-keepers rule by protecting and returning the property of others, we keep from being envious and greedy.

What attitude does today's society have? A young boy, elementary school age, breaks into a house, gets caught and what happens. He has to return the items but no criminal charges are filed. Is this right? The parents and the boy are not reprimanded; what is happening to our world?

God gives us directions we need to follow; if not, and if we don't believe in God, well, hell is not a nice place. May all you thoughts and actions be God worthy today. Love you all.

Have you talked about God lately?

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

JUST A SHORT PRAISE TODAY! This past week I have covered over 800 miles in my travel and each step, each day of this travel I encountered a Christian man and experienced their witness. Maybe God is telling me something or maybe I am just stopping to listen to God better. I don't know, but they did show up in my travels. I would like to share some of the witness below, if you don't want to ready, simple, hit "delete" and you are out of it.

One man shared he and his wife were celebrating their 53rd wedding anniversary that day and their life together was based on God. They are Lutheran, but God, Jesus, is the center of their life.

The second man shared blockage of his heart and when he did the stress test he was in crucial condition and they put him in the hospital, operated, and now he is okay. We met at the track while exercising. He gives God credit for all that has happened and that he is still living. He lost a brother to a massive heart attack.

A man from Mississippi were leaving the hotel and struck up a conversation. During the course of the conversation he mentioned when he was in New Orleans walking down a street when a guy jumped out with a gun to rob him. The man said give me your money or I will shot and kill you. The man, Eddie, said okay, let me get this straight if I don't give you my money you are threatening me with heaven. The man said what? And repeated his order to give the money. Again, Eddie said okay, you are threatening me with heaven by shooting me if I don't give you the money. I choose heaven, shoot. The man was startled and said you are crazy man and ran away. I really would not recommend this, but Eddie swears it is true.

Then multiple encounters as I trained teachers at some Christian schools. It is amazing and wonderful. I say all this to just say, stop, look, and listen to God. Love you all.

What did you say?

Good morning all! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!!

When you woke this morning did you say, "Good morning LORD," or Good lord it's morning?
I trust the first. It is a great day to be alive in the LORD JESUS CHRIST. If we don't wake, then we will be greeted in a place where we can rejoice and enjoy life eternally. Both are positive.

We had been talking about true and false prophets in Deuteronomy. Do you still do your horoscope, psychics, or whatever to see the future?

Deuteronomy 18:21-22 "But you may wonder, 'How will we know whether or not a prophecy is from the LORD? If the prophet speaks in the LORD's name but his prediction does not happen or come true, you will know that the LORD did not give that message. That prophet has spoken without my authority and need not be feared."

As in the ancient days of Israel, today some people claim to have messages from God. God still speaks to his people, but we must be cautious before saying that someone is God's spokesman.

How can we tell when people are speaking for the LORD?
1. We can see whether or not their prophecies come true-the ancient test for judging prophets.
2. We can check their words against the Bible. God never contradicts himself, so if someone says something contrary to the Bible, we can know that this is not God's word.
Check out Deuteronomy 13:1-11.

The man who predicted the end and that Christ would return this summer. What happened? Well, it contradicts the Bible as the Bible, the Word of God says no one will know the time. The bridegroom will return as a thief in the night, without warning.

Today is a great day to speak up for Jesus. Be still, be silent, stop and listen. As we have told our children about crossing a road or railroad tracks - Stop, Look, Listen! Listen to God today - he will not lead you astray. Love ya.

Angels - our servants? Hebrews 1:14

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Hebrews 1:14 "Therefore, angels are only servants-spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation."

Have you met an angel lately? Angels are God's messengers, spiritual beings created by God and under his authority. They have several functions: serving believers (1:14), protecting the helpless (Matt 18:10), proclaiming God's messages (Rev 14:6-12), and executing God's judgment (Acts 12:1-23; Rev 20:1-3)

Three angels were sent to me yesterday to encourage and help me in my walk. One at breakfast, one walking on the track, and one last night at the hotel. 3 men who were open and visited freely about God. If they weren't angels, then they definitely were people placed in my path to enrich my life.

I pray and then try to stop, be still, and listen. It is amazing what God does and who he brings into your life. Thank you, please pray asking forgiveness and for each person who receives this message and selfishly I ask for your prayers for me and my family. You are in my prayers. Love you all.

If only you would listen - Psalm 95:7

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Listening! Yes, listening. My wife tells me we have a communication problem - I don't listen. You know what, she is absolutely correct. My mind is whirling, thoughts permeating my mind and what she says goes into this whirlwind and sometimes is absorbed and sometimes is not.

I had a good lesson in listening today. I wake up at five, think I don't want to work out today. I am not interested in breakfast at the hotel and think, I can just sleep longer. Well, guilt to get up and work out and be with God wore on me....sooo.... I did get up.

Breakfast starts at 5:30 and I meet an angel down there. No, not with wings, but out of the blue this man shares this is his 53rd wedding anniversary. The reason is it was based on God and they are Lutherans. He shared with me and I felt blessed.

Then I went to the track to work out. The high school track field is locked up but there was a man just starting to walk. I asked about the track, he said it was locked and I could walk with him on his 2 mile trek. Well, okay then. So we walked, talked, and shared about health and....you know it.....God. What a blessing.

My goal now is to be still and listen more. For the ones of you that know me, I do like to talk. I have been accused of talking to just hear myself - I disagree but that may be correct.

Psalm 95:7 We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care. If only you would listen to his voice today!"

May God bless you as you listen and follow. Love you all.

1 Timothy 4:12 An example of a believer

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Do you ever just stop and think about your example? Do you REALLY STOP AND THINK?!?!?

Paul was talking to Timothy, who was younger than Paul and in 1 Timothy 4:12 said, "Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity."

Just look at what Paul is saying. Youth---now this could be old as well, but no matter your age...what should you do? Be an EXAMPLE of the BELIEVERS! Wow! Now that is a mouthful. Be an example of the believers. You are an example. Others are watching you, so, is your example admirable?

How are we to be an example? In Word! In Conversation! In Charity! In Spirit! In Faith! In Purity!

You decide who the better Christian is here. A couple are dining out, nice restaurant, and when the food comes the man notices a hair in his food. He mentions it to his party, then calmly and quietly gets up, goes to the waiter, and tells the waiter what happened. The waiter notified the manager, the manager visited with the man and all was calmly and quietly taken care of.

The second was dining out, again, nice restaurant and the man feels the food is inadequate, it does not taste good and took extra time to arrive. The man openly and loudly lets the waiter know he wants to see the manager. When the manager comes, again, the man speaks loudly while the manager is speaking calmly and quietly, and the man is bold about his demands and lets everyone know of his dissatisfaction.

Now, both men are Christians, who shows the Christian spirit in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith? We are not to judge but we are to set an example. Think about this the next time you are in a restaurant, department store, grocery store, or wherever. People are watching; are you the Christian they should be watching? Love you all.

Deuteronomy 18: 12-13 Are you blameless before God?

Good morning everyone. God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED! Hey, do you know that GOD LOVES YOU!!! Really!?!?

Deuteronomy 18:12, 13 "Anyone who does these things is detestable to the LORD. It is because the other nations have done these detestable things that the LORD your God will drive them out ahead of you. But you must be blameless before the LORD your God."

Okay, look at this again. Yes, we are in a war! At this time we are in a double war - a physical war and a spiritual war.

Physical? Naw, it is not physical. Oh, but it is. Once you are saved, a believer in Jesus Christ, you know you received a free gift and now the work begins. Work? We are not a religion of works. We are saved by grace, yes. Not, once saved, we must go forth, physically, into the world and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Have you? Are you? Will you? If you are a believer you will. Just let the Holy Spirit lead you. He knows where, who, and when to speak up.

Okay, then, spiritual? Yes, satan's army is alive and well and roaming the earth, restlessly, looking for soul's to lead astray. How can we fight them, they are spiritual and not seen. We have angels on our side, but we need not dabble in things here on earth that are unacceptable to the LORD. Like what?

We mentioned these earlier - horoscopes, psychics, fortune-tellers, witchcraft, mediums, or calling forth the spirits of the dead. LEAVE THIS ALONE!

Go spread the good news that we have a LIVING GOD! If you don't believe this, then why would you read the Bible, believe in Jesus, pray to God. We do have a true living God and we should rejoice, go forth and tell others. Now go do it. Love you all.

Deuternomy 18:10-12 What does your horoscope say?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Well, did you read the scriptures and think about them yesterday? Oh, did not have time. Don't you think God ALWAYS has time for you? Here is the scripture again.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 Life Application Bible "For example, never sacrifice your son or daughter as a burnt offering. And do not let your people practice fortune-telling, or use sorcery, or interpret omens, or engage in witch craft, or cast spells, or function as mediums or psychics, or call forth the spirits of the dead."

Child sacrifices and occult practices were and are strictly forbidden by God. These practices were common among pagan religions and are still common today. We may not hear of the human sacrifice but we want to know the future and what is out there.

Oh no, you say, not me! Some can't wait to get the paper to look at what? ??? Yes, their horoscope. Some play with a wegie board, some go to palm readers, some to psychics. This is trying to contact the spiritual world, to foretell the future and gain guidance. These are an abomination to God.

Oh, I just do it for fun. It really does not mean anything. Huh? Really? Using this logic. That, to me is like: "Oh, I don't do drugs I just fool around with a little marijuana; or I don't ......... (you fill it in).

We should replace all these evil practices with our prayer time, our worship time, our fellowship time to the one and only true God. Who is your God? Don't have time?
We make time to do what is important to us! Isn't your eternal life important to you? Love you all.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 An abomination to God

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

Yesterday in Deuteronomy 18:9 we talked about going into a land and not following the traditions and practices of those nations as they are an abomination to God.

Today I would like you to read this scripture, then read your Bible version of the scripture, think about it and discuss it tomorrow and see how many toes we step on.

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 "There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch. (11) Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. (12) For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD and because of these abominations the LORD thy God doth drive them out from before thee."

Read and re-read this verse in King James and then in your version. What is being told here? What is your take on it? More tomorrow. I would like you to think about pleasing God today. Only 1 focus - pleasing God.

Deuteronomy 18:9 God's way or your way?

Good morning everyone! God is good all the time, all the time God is good. TOO BLESSED TO BE STRESSED!

DEUTERONOMY 18:9 KJV "When thou art come into the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations."

Deuteronomy 18:9 Life App "When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, be very careful not to imitate the detestable customs of the nations living there."

What are we being taught here? We are being taught and told to follow God. The customs of the other lands may look appealing, enticing, and tempting, but do not yield to their ways.

Maintain the ways of the LORD our God. Have you modified your belief in God and made God's word adaptable to YOU??? Are you truly following GOD'S WORD???
Tomorrow I will step on a few toes. The word is the word. Get ready. Love you all.
